Blast from the past.
Feeling a little sentimental as I look back through photos from the last 20 years of community events in Ambler. Some faces have changed, (some stayed the same) some traditions have too, but the joy of being part of this little town has always stayed the same.

From sidewalk sales and festivals to meeting neighbors and making memories… thank you for letting Pure Spa be part of it all.

A few hours in the life of a small business owner…
9-5🤣
Met the plumber at 7 AM and cleaned the spa while I waited because if I’m standing still, I might as well be productive.

Grabbed coffee and sugar to settle my brain. Total opposite of what I actually needed, but here we are.

Ran outside to find I’d gotten a parking ticket for being five minutes over on the meter. Five. Whole. Minutes.

Paid the ticket, ran home, unpacked my Thrive delivery, grabbed some breakfast, and did a little content prep because social media doesn’t magically create itself.

Started dinner early because if I don’t prep ahead, we’ll be having chips and dip again…

Quick shower. Tackled my tiny close as it laughs at me. Made the sensible choice and picked practical shoes.

Faced the daily question: hair or makeup? Makeup wins. It always wins.

Then it was back to the spa to work the desk, take care of clients, answer questions, put out fires, and close up for the night.

And tomorrow?

I’ll wake up and do it all over again.

I’m not complaining. This life is one I chose, and I’m grateful for it. But I think sometimes people see the finished product and forget about all the little things happening behind the scenes. Just a regular day in the life of a small business owner.

One of my favorite things about traveling is visiting other spas. Sometimes I absolutely love an idea, and sometimes I learn what I wouldn’t do. Both are valuable.

During a recent treatment, I noticed a simple little sign that let the client choose between Chatty and Zen Mode. I thought, what a thoughtful idea.
