These charts offer a general comparison. Results and recovery depend on your skin, the concern we’re treating, treatment settings, and whether we’re planning one session or a series.

At Coastal Aesthetics, we build your treatment plan around your goals, your skin, and the recovery time that fits your life.

Small changes across the face can make a meaningful difference in overall balance.

Here, fuller cheek contours, smoother temple transitions, and a more defined chin create a refreshed appearance while preserving what makes her look like herself.

Our next step is to add support around the mouth, continuing to refine the lower face as part of her individualized treatment plan.

Facial balancing starts with assessing the face as a whole—considering how each area relates to the next, then treating with intention.

Natural results. A clinical approach.

HRT can make a meaningful difference in women’s health and quality of life. It also deserves informed decision-making—including a conversation about skin and hair changes.

Melasma flares, new acne, increased facial hair, and scalp hair loss may warrant a closer look at your hormone regimen. The hormone, dose, and timing matter.

At Coastal Aesthetics, we consider your medical history and medications alongside what we see on your skin. Understanding potential triggers helps us set realistic expectations and build a thoughtful treatment plan.

If you notice changes after starting or adjusting hormone therapy, discuss them with your prescribing clinician and let your skin provider know.

A few calendar details can change the timing of your filler appointment.

At Coastal, we use a four-week precautionary window around dental work, tattoos, and vaccinations, and review recent illness before treatment.

Something changed before or after your appointment? Let us know.

A detail-focused approach to lip augmentation.

Lips are highly mobile tissue, and small differences in anatomy can completely change how a product behaves. Every treatment is customized around the patient’s existing lip shape, tissue quality, facial proportions, and desired level of fullness.

product selection → different fillers have different rheologic properties, so product choice should match the tissue and the treatment goal

volume → the amount used is based on what the lip can accommodate while maintaining shape and proportion

placement → depth, location, and distribution of product matter just as much as the amount used

The goal isn’t one specific “look.” It’s a result that makes sense for the patient in front of me.

Photos taken immediately after treatment; swelling is present.

Still covering the same under-eye shadow every morning?

Sometimes what reads as “dark circles” isn’t actually pigment at all. It’s the way hollowing, thin tissue, and the transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek create shadow.

The Coastal Signature Under-Eye is my individualized approach to treating that shadow with small, strategic amounts of hyaluronic acid.

For some patients, the under-eye itself is only part of the picture. The midface provides the structural foundation for the lower eyelid, so when support is lacking there, treating the tear trough alone may not give the most natural result.

That may mean a little midface support first, followed by deeper or more superficial under-eye refinement depending on what your anatomy needs.

The goal is never to simply “fill the hollow.”

It’s to restore support where it’s missing, soften the shadow, and create a smoother transition from the lower eyelid into the cheek — so you look more rested, not more treated.

Consultation required to determine candidacy and treatment plan.

Sometimes the best way to soften the lower face is to stop chasing the lower face.

In this case, the focus was restoring support through the midface and adjacent preauricular area—improving cheek structure, the lid-to-cheek transition, and some of the shadowing that can develop around the nasolabial fold and lower face as facial volume changes.

4 syringes of JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC were used to restore structure and support while maintaining her natural proportions.

The goal was a more rested, supported appearance without changing the features that make her look like herself.

Immediately post-treatment, so mild redness and swelling are still present.

If your skincare routine requires its own recovery routine, we should talk.

Good products can still be the wrong combination—or simply too much, too often. Bring your lineup to a skincare consult. We’ll look at the ingredients, how you’re using them, and what your skin is telling us.

We know—we’re only just heading into fall. But meaningful changes take time, and the holidays will be here before we know it.

If you want your skin to look its best for something in December, now is a good time to start planning. This isn’t a list of everything you need to do. It’s a guide to choosing a treatment based on what you actually want to improve, then working backward from your event date.

Holiday party, wedding, vacation, reunion, family photos or something else entirely—save this for the next time you have something on the calendar.

Your exact plan and timing should always be personalized to your skin.
