Protection isn’t one thing.
Most households already have a few pieces in place — maybe health insurance, life insurance, savings, workplace benefits, an emergency fund, or some form of income protection.
The bigger question is:
Do those pieces actually work together for your household?
Having coverage is not always the same as having a coordinated protection plan.
Protection is about the bigger picture. Knowing what you have is the first step toward understanding what may still need attention.
Save this for your next family financial check-in.

Tonight, we’re taking the overwhelm out of Open Enrollment.
Choosing benefits shouldn’t feel like staring at a bunch of premiums, deductibles, copays, and acronyms hoping you picked the right one.
Tonight, we’re slowing it down and talking about what actually matters when you’re choosing coverage for yourself and your family.
We’ll talk about how to look beyond the monthly premium and consider:
• what you’ll actually pay when you use your benefits
• how your doctors, prescriptions, and mental health care fit into the decision
• the trade-offs between different plan options
• questions to ask before you click Enroll
The goal isn’t to tell you which plan to choose.
It’s to help you understand how to choose.

Two days. 👀
Open Enrollment decisions can affect a lot more than what comes out of your paycheck every month.
They can affect where you receive care, what you pay when you actually use that care, how your prescriptions are covered, and how financially prepared your family is when something unexpected happens.
That’s why Wednesday’s conversation isn’t about telling you which plan to choose.
It’s about helping you understand what to look at before you choose.
During Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm, we’ll walk through the Five-Part Benefits Review™:
✓ Needs
✓ Access
✓ Costs
✓ Protection
✓ Trade-offs
And you’ll receive the free Five-Part Benefits Review™ worksheet to help you compare your options with more clarity and confidence.

You don't have to know everything about health insurance to make a more informed Open Enrollment decision.
But you DO need to know what questions to ask. 👀
If you've ever picked the cheapest plan, stayed with last year's benefits because it was easier, or stared at words like deductible and coinsurance wondering what they actually mean for your family…this conversation is for you.
On September 30, we're sitting down for Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet.
We're going beyond the premium and looking at the things that can actually affect your decision—needs, access, costs, protection and trade-offs.

here is no perfect health plan.
And that's actually one of the most important things to understand before Open Enrollment.
One plan may give you a lower monthly premium but a higher deductible.
Another may cost more every month but give you better access to the care you actually use.
One may cover your prescriptions better. Another may include the doctors, specialists or mental-health providers you want to keep.
Those aren't necessarily good plans or bad plans. They're trade-offs.
The question is whether you understand those trade-offs well enough to decide which ones make sense for your health, your family and your financial picture.
That's what we're talking about September 30 during Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet.

Would you spend an extra $200 every month for a lower deductible? 👀
At first glance, this might look simple.
Plan A keeps $200 more in your monthly budget.
Plan B gives you a deductible that's $4,000 lower.
So which is better?
A, B, or C? Drop your answer before you keep reading. 👀

We still don't know.
Before I'd make that decision, I'd want to know:
💊 What do my prescriptions cost?
🩺 Are my doctors and specialists in-network?
🧠 What does mental-health care look like?
💰 What are the copays and coinsurance?
🛡️ What's my maximum financial exposure if I need significant care?
That's why choosing benefits based on one number can get tricky.
The goal isn't to find a “perfect” plan. It's to understand the trade-offs well enough to choose the plan that fits your needs and financial picture.

Open Enrollment is on the way. Make sure you're ready. 👀

Before you choose a health plan, look at more than the premium.
A plan can look affordable on payday and still be a poor fit for the way you or your family actually use healthcare.
Before making your Open Enrollment decision, review these five things:
1️⃣ Needs — What care does your household actually use?
2️⃣ Access — Are your doctors, specialists and mental-health providers accessible under the plan?
3️⃣ Cost — What could you pay beyond the monthly premium?
4️⃣ Protection — What happens financially if someone needs more care than expected?
5️⃣ Trade-offs — What are you gaining—and giving up—with each option?
That's the Five-Part Benefits Review™ framework, and we're going deeper during Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet.

👀 PLOT TWIST.
Earlier today, I asked which health plan you would choose.
And some of y'all made your choice. 😂
But here's the thing:
You didn't actually have enough information to know which plan was the better fit.
Premium and deductible matter—but they're only part of the story.
Before choosing, I'd also want to know:
🩺 Are my doctors and specialists in-network?
💊 How are my prescriptions covered?
🧠 What does mental-health care look like?
💰 What are the copays, coinsurance and out-of-pocket maximum?
👨‍👩‍👧 What care does my family actually use?
That's the plot twist.
The goal isn't to find the plan with the lowest number.
It's to understand the trade-offs well enough to choose what makes sense for your health, your family and your financial picture.
And THAT is exactly what we're talking about during Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet.

👀 Okay, quick question. Which one are you choosing—Plan A or Plan B?
Plan A:
$185/month | $6,000 deductible
Plan B:
$310/month | $2,500 deductible
Don't overthink it. Based on what you see, drop A or B in the comments.

Now here's the catch...
You still don't have enough information to make that decision.

What prescriptions do you take? Are your doctors in-network?
Do you regularly see a specialist?
What does mental-health care cost?
What's your family's typical healthcare usage?
And what could you realistically afford if something unexpected happened?

That's why choosing benefits based on the premium alone can get tricky.
On September 30, we're breaking this down during Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet.
No scare tactics. No telling you which plan to choose. Just practical education to help you understand what questions to ask before you make the decision.
🎁 Each participant will also receive the Five-Part Benefits Review™ worksheet.

But FIRST... A or B? 👀

It’s my birthday! 🎂 And apparently I celebrate 43 by building things. 😂

This year has brought a LOT of change—personally, professionally, and in what Self-Care Over Everything is becoming.

One thing I’m especially excited about is creating more spaces where complicated things can feel a little less overwhelming.

So on September 30, I’m hosting:
Open Enrollment Without the Overwhelm: Choosing Benefits That Protect Your Health, Mental Health & Wallet

Because choosing benefits shouldn’t just be about finding the lowest premium.
We’re going to talk about your health needs, mental-health access, costs, family finances, protection, and the trade-offs that actually matter when you're comparing your options.

And I'm giving gifts! Everyone who attends will receive my Five-Part Benefits Review™ worksheet to help compare benefit options with more clarity and confidence.

Registration isn't open just yet—but we're almost there.
