Happy Birthday to my incredible Mijo! Mijo, you are more than a blessing—not just to me but to our entire family (especially your Tía lol)! God truly knew what He was doing when He allowed me to be your mother! I LOVE everything about you! You're quiet and shy (but we all know that didn't come from me 🤣), yet you're incredibly observant, a hardworking spirit, and when others doubt your worth, you push yourself even harder to prove them wrong! Wishing my brother the happiest birthday ever!!! My brother has been on the sick and shut-in list since December 31st because of a broken ankle. He had to have surgery and received two metal plates, seven screws, and a tight rope! But despite all of that, he is healing well and being an amazing big brother! Have a great day, Bro!

I can’t fully express how proud I am of my son and his High School team, the Community Braves. We were the team most overlooked in the tournament, but we definitely made an impression! Now, they’ll remember the Community Braves from Nevada, TX. Let’s Go, Braves!!!

Craig, I pray your day is Amazing. I wanted to share just how much you mean to me. You’ve been so much more than just my brother; you were my very first friend and always my protector. Even with just a 16-month difference between us, you’ve embraced the role of the big brother with such love and strength, as if you were towering over me, even though you’ve been the same height since you were seven! (Those ‘Baby Hands’ still make me smile!)

You have been my first role model, inspiring me to be the best version of myself. I cherish the moments when you’ve guided me, putting me in my place when I needed it most. I want you to understand that the woman I am today is a reflection of your love and support.

Happy 26th Birthday to my oldest child and daughter! I can hardly wrap my head around the fact that you’re already 26—time really does fly, and before we know it, the big 3-0 will be knocking at your door!

In all seriousness, mama, you have achieved so much over the past year despite facing significant challenges. Graduating from an HBCU like Rust College is no small accomplishment, and I am immensely proud of you for sticking with it. Your move to independence was a big step, but you tackled it head-on with determination and focus that many may not possess.

Now, as you embark on this new chapter, you’re working hard and it fills my heart with joy to see you setting and striving toward your goals. As a mother, my greatest wish for you is to grow into a person who is healthy, loved, happy, and ultimately, a remarkable human being who finds success in her unique way.

I’ve often heard that parents need to guide their children in navigating this crazy world we live in, but you’ve shown me that the learning can be a two-way street. You’ve imparted invaluable lessons to me, Lyric—lessons that I never knew I needed. You’ve taught me patience, a virtue that didn’t come easily and certainly took us both some time to foster.

Remember the popcorn incident? I must admit, that moment taught me the importance of humility; sometimes, I’m not always right—though I might argue that I generally am! 🤭 You showed me that admitting when I’m wrong and offering an apology strengthens the bond between us, creating a deeper connection.

Happy 23rd Birthday to my lovely daughter! I can hardly believe you’re 23 already. I am so incredibly proud of all that you’ve accomplished in your 23 years. I know that it hasn’t been easy, and I recognize the countless hours of hard work and determination you’ve put in to achieve your goals. What makes me proudest is seeing how you’ve faced tough days with strength, getting out of bed, speaking, and smiling even when it was challenging. Your commitment to taking care of your mental health is inspiring, and you continue to set a powerful example for yourself and the other girls in our program.
