For us, this certification is about more than adding another badge to our business. It represents ownership, legacy, and what we’re building together as a mother-son team.

Bron and I started MelanBrand Skin with a vision to create safe, effective skincare made with Black and Brown kids in mind—and we’re proud to continue growing a business that our community can call its own.

During National Black Business Month, we’re especially proud to celebrate this milestone and every Black-owned business out here building, creating, employing, and making room for the next generation.

Back-to-school is officially on the horizon, which means summer fun is slowly coming to a close…and business is about to be back in session! 📚💼

But first…one last little check-in from the Dominican Republic! 🇩🇴☀️🌊

Bron has had himself a SUMMER. From Nawlins’ ⚜️ to The A 🍑 to the DR 🇩🇴, our 15-year-old Co-Founder & Co-CEO has been collecting memories, seeing the world, and of course, getting in plenty of plane time. ✈️😂

The Dominican Republic has been GOOD to him, but it’s almost time to head back to the States, get ready for school, and switch gears from vacation mode back to student + CEO mode. 😎

Until then…we’re soaking up these last few moments of summer. 🌴

Next stop: HOME. ✈️🇺🇸 Then it’s back to business.

Kinda chic to create what you couldn’t find on the shelf. ✨

We saw the gap in kids’ skincare, so we built what was missing. From an idea between a mother and son to MelanBrand Skin making room on the shelf, that’s kinda chic. 💅🏽

I didn’t have a chemistry degree.

I wasn’t a cosmetic chemist.

But I knew there was a gap in the market, and I knew our kids deserved better options.

So I didn’t let what I didn’t know stop me from building what I knew needed to exist.

I found the experts. I asked questions. I learned the industry. I surrounded myself with people who understood formulation, safety, testing, and skincare science.

And then we built MelanBrand Skin.

Entrepreneurship isn’t about knowing how to do everything yourself. Sometimes it starts with simply being able to see what’s missing, and having enough conviction to do something about it.

I saw the gap.

And instead of waiting for someone else to fill it, we did. 🤎

From Nawlins’ ⚜️ to The A 🍑… and now he’s getting ready to stamp that passport one more time for a nice, relaxing summer vacation before school starts back in a few weeks. ☀️🌴

If you know Bron, you know this kid LOVES to travel. At just 15, he’s already been blessed to see quite a few places, and there’s not a plane he doesn’t want to see, board, identify, or tell you something about. 😂✈️

Business is a big part of his story, but so is being 15, exploring the world, making memories, and enjoying the ride.
