One of the most common misconceptions about compression socks is that you can put them on anytime during the day. In reality, compression socks are most effective when worn first thing in the morning, before swelling has a chance to develop.

Here are 3 things many people get wrong about compression socks:

✅ Put them on first thing in the morning.
Don't wait until after you've been standing, walking, or sitting for hours. The earlier you put them on, the better they can help support circulation throughout the day.

✅ You don't need to wear them while you sleep.
For most people, compression socks are intended to be worn during the day and removed before bedtime. Always follow your provider's recommendations.

✅ Make sure you're wearing the right size.
A proper fit matters. Compression socks that are too loose may not provide enough support, while those that are too tight can be uncomfortable and less effective.

Compression socks can be a helpful tool for managing symptoms such as leg heaviness, swelling, aching, and fatigue, but only when they're worn correctly.

A lot of people assume spider veins are just a cosmetic concern they have to forever live with. While they’re often seen as harmless, spider veins can make some people feel self-conscious about wearing shorts, dresses, swimsuit, or showing their legs with confidence.

Sclerotherpay is pne of the most common and effective treatments for spider veins. During the procedure, a specialized solution is injected directly into the affected veins, causing them to close and gradually fade as your body naturally absorbs them over time.

The treatment is minimally invasive, performed right in the office, and requires little to no downtime, making it a popular option for patients looking to improve the appearance of their legs without surgery.

While many patients notice improvement after one treatment, the number of sessions needed can vary depending on the size, location, and extent of the spider veins being treated.

If you’ve been covering up your legs because of spider veins, know that treatment options are available. The first step is a consultation to determine whether sclerotherapy is the right fit for your goals and vein health needs.

He spent years living with leg heaviness, swelling, and varicose veins —until he finally decided enough was enough.

For years, this patient of ours lived with varicose veins, leg heaviness, swelling, and fatigue that affected his daily life. Simple activities became more difficult, and the symptoms began to affect his ability to perform his job comfortably.

Like many people, he quietly lived with these symptoms for a long time, assuming it was something he simply had to tolerate. But eventaully, he made a bold decision to seek treatment and take the first step toward improving his daily life.

Even though the treatment requires another session, these photos show the appearance of his legs and the immediate results just 5 minutes after a Varithena procedure.

While every patient is different and results vary, treatment can help address the underlying vein disease that contributes to symptoms such as aching, swelling, and visible varicose veins.

You don’t have to simply live with leg discomfort.

If you’re experiencing symptoms that are affecting your daily activities, a vein evaluation may help determine whether vein disease is the cause.

What happens if I don’t treat my vein disease?

As Christina, our Physician Assistant, explains, delaying treatment may not be immediately dangerous, but it can significantly affect your quality of life. Over time, vein disease can progress and lead to worsening symptoms, including:

* Leg pain and heaviness
* Persistent swelling
* Skin changes and other complications

The good news is that early evaluation and treatment can manage symptoms, improve comfort, and help prevent the condition from progressing.
