You really never know what somebody had to walk through just to show up.

Premier San Antonio was a GOOD weekend. 🤎
The Booksy team showed up, the energy was right, we connected with people, we laughed, we worked, and we did what we came to do.

And I meant every smile you see in this carousel. But life was also happening. The kind of life that doesn’t care what’s on your calendar. The kind that doesn’t wait until after the show, after the flight, after the obligations, or until you have time to process it.

There was grief. There were major life changes happening in my family. There were more stages waiting for me after this one. And somewhere in between all of it, I was still just… me. Trying to be present for the moment I was standing in.

I’m sharing that because social media gives us snapshots, but rarely the whole picture. Sometimes the smile is real AND the heart is heavy. Sometimes you’re grateful AND overwhelmed. Sometimes you can be proud of yourself and still need a minute when nobody is looking. Sometimes you’re praying and still wondering. Both things can be true.

So when I look back at San Antonio, I don’t see a woman pretending everything was okay. I see a woman who allowed herself to still experience something good while life was asking a lot of her.
And maybe somebody needed that reminder today too.
