Published today in Behavior Analysis in Practice, “The Women in Behavior Analysis Hall of Fame: 2023 Inductees” celebrates five trailblazers whose scholarship, leadership, advocacy, and mentorship helped shape our field:

✨ Janet Ellis — Expanded behavior analysis into schools, correctional settings, and online education while championing students and women in the profession.

✨ Judith LeBlanc — Advanced meaningful, practical education and international collaboration, helping people with disabilities build independence and participate in their communities.

✨ Sigrid Glenn — Pioneered cultural behavior analysis and helped establish the University of North Texas’s Department of Behavior Analysis.

✨ Jan Sheldon — Connected behavioral science and law to champion individual rights, personal choice, and stronger communities.

✨ Maria Ruiz — Brought feminism and radical behaviorism into conversation, advancing scholarship focused on equity and social justice.

Across their different paths, these women shared a commitment to improving lives and creating opportunities for those who followed. Their stories remind us why recognizing women’s contributions—and preserving their legacies—matters. 💜

A well-deserved honor for Dr. Gina Green!

This past July, NECC’s former Director of Research was inducted into the Women in Behavior Analysis - WIBA (WIBA) Hall of Fame, recognizing her lifetime of contributions to behavior analysis.

Through her research, advocacy, mentorship, and leadership, Dr. Green has made a lasting impact on the field and the countless professionals, children, and families her work has reached.
