This client was prescribed tretinoin and azelaic acid and was using it a bit too frequently for our liking. She came in with some new dark marks, and it seemed like the overuse of these acids was only inflaming her skin and making her hyperpigmentation worse.

So we completely reset her routine:
1️⃣ We cut out tretinoin completely to stop the irritation
2️⃣ We scaled back on how often she was using her azelaic acid
3️⃣ We introduced a safer and more gentle exfoliation method to support her barrier and even out her skin tone
