If your skin has been confusing you lately, this is why.
May is a transition month where your skin is no longer in winter mode, but not fully adjusted to summer either.
Oil production is starting to increase, but dehydration from winter is still sitting underneath the surface. That is why your skin can feel oily and tight at the same time.
Most people respond by over-cleansing, over-exfoliating, or switching everything at once, which usually makes things worse.
What your skin actually needs right now is balance. Adjusting textures, supporting hydration properly, and being more intentional with SPF as UV exposure increases.
When you understand what phase your skin is in, everything starts to make more sense.
