There is something deeply sacred about creating incense by hand.

Long before incense became something we simply purchased from a shelf, sacred smoke was woven into medicine, prayer, offering, cleansing, protection, and ceremony.

During this hands-on workshop, we’ll return to that relationship—working directly with herbs, resins, woods, and botanicals while learning how to create incense with both intention and purpose.

Together, we’ll explore:

🌿 Traditional and energetic uses of herbs, resins, woods, and aromatics
✨ How to formulate and blend incense from scratch
🔥 How to create your own handcrafted incense cones to take home
🌙 Ways to incorporate sacred smoke into ritual, meditation, cleansing, and spiritual practice

Whether you’re just beginning your herbal journey or already have a deep relationship with Earth Mother Onílé—a term lovingly coined by my Godmother got2boshun—this workshop is an invitation to slow down, work with your hands, and deepen your relationship with the wisdom of the plants.

The Living Apothecary is a six-month journey into practical herbalism, plant wisdom, and botanical wellness—created for those who are ready to deepen their relationship with the plants and build confidence in preparing and working with herbal remedies.

Our program offers hybrid learning, with opportunities to join us in person in Austell, Georgia, or live online from wherever you call home. Yes, remote apprentices are warmly welcomed!

Throughout our time together, apprentices will study herbal foundations, plant preparations, materia medica, ethical foraging, community-centered herbal care, and more—all while developing a living relationship with their own home apothecary.
