One of the first things I learned about riding horses is this:

It’s never the horse’s fault.

Yes, sometimes they’re stubborn, but if a horse is anxious, resistant, or confused, the first place a rider looks is at themselves. Their communication. Their consistency. Their timing.

The horse is simply responding to what’s being asked of it.

I believe skin is exactly the same.

When skin is inflamed, reactive, dehydrated, breaking out, or suddenly changing, I don’t believe in blaming it.

What is it trying to tell me? What happened that aggravated it? What did I knowingly or unknowingly do that caused it to react like this and now it’s trying to tell me something is wrong?

Hormones? Stress? Gut? Too many actives? An ingredient it’s sensitive to? A damaged barrier? Too many products? Not enough recovery time?

Healthy skin is about learning its language and working with it, not against it.

I’m a straight-shooter so maybe that’s why horses and skincare mean so much to me, they both tell it like it is.

When my bridal client booked with me, she had one request:

“Can we make my skin and brows wedding-ready?”

The catch?

We only had six weeks.

She spends a lot of time outside with horses, works long late hours, she admitted that sunscreen wasn’t exactly her best habit, and like many women in their 30s, her skin was beginning to show the effects of years of UV exposure.

Six weeks isn’t enough time for perfection.

BUT it is enough time for a transformation when the right treatments, home care, and consistency all work together.

Swipe to see the 6 weeks difference between her makeup trial day and her actual wedding day.

Notice how the makeup sits differently. The eyes are brighter and more open with manicured and laminated brows. The skin is glowing from the inside out and looks smoother, calmer, brighter, and healthier not because of different makeup, but because the canvas underneath changed.

Good skin isn’t created overnight.

But sometimes six intentional weeks can completely change how you walk down the aisle.

Thankfully this beautiful bride was committed to weekly appointments that included weekly custom facials, microneedling with PDGF, brow lamination, brow shaping and tinting, and MOST IMPORTANTLY: a custom home skincare regimen that she was consistent with all 6 weeks.

I’d prefer more than 6 weeks, but the Good Lord knows I love a challenge and we did it!♥️

Thank you for the beautiful pictures! Her makeup looked breathtaking! You’re seriously amazing!

This is what I FW. European brands with decades of science behind them. Hands that actually touch your face. Techniques that work with your skin instead of declaring war on it.

There’s a certain kind of skincare that doesn’t need to shout. It just works, quietly, consistently, and with a level of intention that shows up on your face over time. That’s where you’ll find me.

If you’ve been looking for someone who takes 40+ skin as seriously as you do then you’re in the right place.
