I know my neighbors are wonderful and they do kind deeds when no one is looking, but I want to use this space to thank my neighbor Chuck Pemberton for cutting the grass around my farm stand. He didn't know my husband's lawn mower broke down, but he was mowing his own grass and felt in his heart to cut our entrance. I know God sees his heart, but I want him to know, I see it too! Thank you for your kind gesture Chuck.

We had our first official outdoor event yesterday at the monthly Friday Fest in Bartow, Fl. It was very different from our self serve farmstand but with the same yummy baked goods. I met alot of wonderful people, and clients that had visited our farmstand before. I bought the carriage to promote it for rent, as well as to promote our dessert table for private events. I met a wonderful Scottish gentleman that had a booth there, as well as a friendly couple that sold earrings, car scents, and such. I had previously bought from them as a client, and now I had my stand along with them. All the vendors, event organizers, and customers where friendly and supportive. I hadn't planned for the evening, and was in the dark a few minutes when one of the vendors bought one of their solar hanging lamp to share with me. I was back in business. Yay. The Scottish gentlemen told me that he was about to have his 100th event. That made me very happy, and hope to one day be able to say the same. I was neighbor with the Polk Sheriff booth and I enjoyed talking with her about my previous life as a Victim Witness Officer at the Salisbury Police Department. She was tickled about how I transitioned from the Criminal Investigation Department to a farmer and baker. Good times indeed.
