Cleaning your hair tools is an important step in hair care. One for its sanitary reasons, you can reintroduce grime and dirt back onto your hair if the tools are not maintained. Also, it can affect how your tool performs. If there is buildup on your tools, it can distribute heat differently and change the way your style looks.

So, how do you clean your hot tools?
1. Make sure they are off and unplugged
2. Take a damp cloth and wipe the tools
3. If there is stubborn buildup, take a little bit of alcohol to remove the last of the gunk.

You don’t have to clean them every week, but once or twice a month should suffice. These simple steps should help prolong your tools and keep them clean.
