Swarm update # 2.
The swarm stayed in the little nuke box so I moved it to a new location this morning. Watch the video and see what I did to strengthen it up.

Swarm update from this morning. Well, it didn’t go as planned, but sometimes life gives you another chance.

Swarms galore. Swarms just don’t happen in the spring.

Let’s take a look at this hive that was weak the last time I checked it a few weeks ago. You’ll see what I see, no fake book here.

The old Beeman gives his thoughts on feeding bees and a small biology lesson about the lifespan of bees.

Feeding bees on this beautiful Monday. These are kinda light as far as honey stores go, so I’m giving them some feed to give them a boost before the golden rod flow. I’ve seen a lot of golden rod so I’m hoping it produces some nectar starting in October.

Trying to save a small swarm I caught 3 weeks ago. It’s not looking good.

The ole beeman repurposing medium honey supers and using them as delivery crates. There’s always work to be done, but it’s not always in the bee yard.

The ole beeman took a break, but he’s back in town and bees are on his mind.
