✨ NEW STORY: Janine Lange: An Author’s Voice and a Journey to Italy
Janine Marie Lange
Becoming a nurse at 46. Facing a brain tumor. Finding her voice as an author. Preparing to travel to Italy to explore her family’s roots. Janine Lange has a story with many chapters, each revealing something about the woman she is today.
In her GlowInto feature, we get to know Janine beyond those milestones. We explore her writing, the experiences that have shaped her, and the personal meaning behind a journey that connects her present life with her family’s past.
Her story invites us to consider our own unfinished chapters: the interest we still want to pursue, the history we want to understand, or the words we have yet to share.
Read the full article on GlowInto to view Janine’s photos, or listen to her story on the GlowInto podcast on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. We’ll also reconnect for part two after her trip to hear what she discovered along the way. ✨

✨ Big ideas. A next chapter. A woman you want in your corner.
Please help me welcome Shannon Shores of Bertie Mae Consulting to GlowInto’s contributing writers community for "Inside the Workplace!"
Shannon brings experience as a business owner, executive leader, and social worker to a conversation so many of us are having: How do we turn what we want into something we can actually build?
She’ll share perspectives on leadership, business growth, finding clarity when everything feels like a priority, and having the confidence to take your next step. Whether you’re building a business, leading a team, or wondering what’s next in your career, Shannon brings an understanding of both the practical decisions and the human experiences behind them.
This introduction is especially meaningful to me because Shannon is also my coach. I’ve experienced her kindness, insight, and commitment to helping other women move forward. I’m excited for you to get to know her, too.
Start with “Big Ideas Need a Way Forward: Meet Shannon Shores of Bertie Mae Consulting.” Meet the woman behind the work, discover the two grandmothers who inspired her business name, and learn why helping others see their possibilities matters so much to her.

✨ Behind every small business is a story of what it took to build it.
For National Women’s Small Business Month, we’re celebrating Doreen Warfield, one half of the dynamic duo behind Studio Strong in O’Fallon, Illinois.
Doreen’s journey into fitness began during a season of rebuilding, raising two young children, navigating divorce, and finding a way to care for herself. What started with a $5 gym membership grew into a career helping others discover their own strength.
Together with her business partner, Dave, she built Studio Strong around personal connection, accountability, and community. When the pandemic challenged their business, they adapted with virtual classes and outdoor workouts, continuing to show up for the people who trusted them.
Her reminder, “We do hard things,” applies to building a business just as much as building strength. 💪
Today, we celebrate a woman who turned her own experience into meaningful work and reminds women over 40 that there is still strength, adventure, and possibility ahead.

✨ In her newest GlowInto Longevity article, Alison Tindall of Thriving Willow Whole Person Health asks: “Are You Resilient or Are You Just Used to Running on Empty?”
The work gets finished. Everyone gets what they need. But where do your own needs fit into the day?
She explores the exhaustion we begin treating as normal, the boundaries that protect our health, and small ways to make room for recovery—even when life feels full.
One question to sit with: What is draining you that you’ve been treating as normal?
You can be the woman who gets everything done and still be running on empty.

✨ This National Women’s Small Business Month, we’re giving a shout-out to Rebecca Willmann, founder of WholeBody Physical Therapy in Troy, Illinois!
Rebecca started her business in a small rented room inside a gym, guided by a vision of giving patients more time and caring for the whole person. Today, that vision brings together physical therapy, running, yoga, and wellness.
One of my favorite parts of her story? Savings her entrepreneurial grandmother set aside for her helped Rebecca fund her own business. One woman’s legacy helped another woman build her dream. 💜
Let’s show this local woman-owned business some love!
