As the creator and expert for Ghostlayers there is a misconception that it’s just a passing trend similar to ‘wolf’, ‘jellyfish’ or ‘butterfly’ cuts.

What actually is it? After being frustrated with the same hair cut outlines being taught in hair school, I began to create my own. Instead of thick sections that lay heavy and were impossible for clients to style at home without getting a professional blow dry, I experimented with smaller areas, crafting individual pieces around the head to compliment and blend with one another. Years later and after trial and error, it has become the foundation from which you can craft any look: bobs, shags, fluid length, etc. Versatility both in and out of the salon was key.

Not a fad. A new technique I created that pays homage to each unique face and how their hair lays, moves and grows. For thick, thin, straight or textured hair. Minimizing the need for heat tools at home and constant maintenance.
