If your feet or ankles hurt, the problem may not actually be in your feet.
One of the most overlooked causes of foot and ankle pain I see in my massage practice, is tight calf muscles.
Specifically the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles can become tight and develop hyperirritable spots (also known as trigger points), reducing your ankle's ability to move freely. This tightness can also interfere with normal circulation and fluid movement, causing your feet to ache, and be swollen at the end of the day.
During treatment, the biggest tell tale sign of tissue dysfunction is when the tissue feels hardened and thick. Trying to release it usually feels more tender than the rest of the muscles but, by releasing these restrictions many of my clients are surprised they now can:
+ Walk with less discomfort
+ Move their ankle more freely
+ Feel less tightness in their feet
+ Stand longer with greater comfort
= Better quality of life❤️
Send me a message to book your appointment, if you’d like to begin the process of feeling better in your body.
I offer massages in clinic on the Westend and in the comfort of your own home. Online booking is available as well. Link in the comments.

CLIENT TRANSFORMATION ✨
Pain is exhausting.
Not just physically BUT EMOTIONALLY as well.
When you're in pain long enough, it starts to change the way you live.
You stop turning your head because it hurts. You stop playing with your kids because you're afraid you'll pay for it later. You dread getting out of bed in the morning because you already know what your body is going to feel like. You become irritable, tired, discouraged, and sometimes even hopeless.
I've seen people who have quietly adjusted their entire lives around their pain without realizing how much it's costing them. It’s a perpetuating cycle that people feel stuck in.
And then something changes.
One day you wake up and your neck doesn't hurt. You can look over your shoulder while driving. You can pick up your grandchild. You can go for a walk. You can move without constantly thinking about your body.😭❤️
That's when you realize how much energy pain was taking from you every single day. But it doesn’t have to be something you live with. I’ve seen transformations with my own two eyes.
Just last week one of my clients told me:
"You have helped me more in 2 visits than 4 years of neck injections attempted to do the same."
Those are the moments that remind me why highly targeted massage is so powerful.
It’s powerful because it helps relieve pain and doesn’t just help you feel better, it helps you get your life back.
Signs you may need to book a massage asap:

So many people live with pain for so long that they start believing it’s just “normal.”
The throbbing. The swelling. The aching feet at the end of the day. The stiffness when you wake up.
Then they finally experience what their body is supposed to feel like again after a massage.
To me massage isn’t just about relaxation, it’s therapeutic. It’s about helping your body move better and function better so your pain is reduced and you’re not swollen.
When muscles, fascia, and surrounding tissues are tight and restricted, it can increase pain levels, cause swelling and limit mobility. Sometimes people don’t realize how much discomfort they’ve adapted to until their body finally gets relief.
You do not have to just “live with it.”
I offer in-home and in-clinic appointments right here in Billings. Message me if you’d like, to book or find the link in my bio to navigate my availability at your convenience.

“I’m able to look to the right much more comfortably now, and the pain is definitely reduced!! Thank you so much for this relief."
This text came from a client after his massage yesterday. ❤️
He came in with chronic neck pain and limited range of motion. Turning his head was uncomfortable, and everyday movements were becoming frustrating.
After addressing the muscles contributing to his restriction, he noticed improved mobility and significantly less pain.
One thing I've learned as a therapeutic massage therapist is that many people don't realize how much pain and stiffness they've adapted to until they finally experience relief.
Here’s are some signs to watch out for:
* Constantly stretching your neck
* Waking up stiff
* Getting tension headaches
* Having trouble checking your blind spot while driving
* Rubbing your shoulders all day
If you’re ready to move better and with less pain, and think massage can help you go ahead and send me a message.

“My doctor said the surgery was successful… so why does my body still feel so tight?”
This is a conversation I have more often than you might think. And it’s truly saddening because many people have surgery hoping to reduce pain, improve function, or improve their quality of life.
Here’s the missing piece: scar tissue mobility. Because without it, scar tissue becomes thick, restricted, and doesn’t move well with the surrounding muscles and fascia.
And over time, those restrictions can affect how your entire body moves.
I’ve seen this happen with:
The big question is, where do you have a tough scar and is it affecting your mobility?
Send me a message if you’d like help improving the scar tissue you have, so you can feel better and move better!
“She said, ‘I thought this was just how getting older felt.’”
Her walking had slowly changed over time.
Both feet rotated outward.
Her hips felt stiff.
Her stride wasn’t fluid anymore.
Even getting up and walking felt heavy and restricted.
The wild part? She didn’t fully realize how much compensation her body had created until after her massage.
After one session working the glutes, hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, all muscles surrounding the hip joint… she stood up and immediately noticed a difference in the way she walked.
More fluid.
Less pulling.
Less restriction.
Less effort.
She kept saying, “I can’t believe how different this feels.”
A lot of people think they just have to “live with it” when their mobility changes or walking becomes stiff and uncomfortable.
But many times, the body is compensating because muscles around the hips and pelvis have become tight, weak, overworked, or restricted.
That’s why I focus on therapeutic, results-driven massage — not just relaxation. Send me a massage to book, if you’d like.

Nobody talks enough about the neck pain that comes with having a newborn.
The constant nursing.
Looking down for hours.
Sleeping in weird positions.
Holding a baby 24/7.
Recovering from a C-section while barely leaving the house.
I recently worked with a mom who said she woke up with such a bad crink in her neck she could barely turn her head.
This is exactly why I offer in-home massage in Billings.
You don’t have to load up the baby, get dressed, drive across town, or figure out childcare. I bring the massage table to you so you can stay home, stay comfortable, and actually get some relief.
Therapeutic massage can help:
• Relieve neck and shoulder tension from nursing
• Reduce headaches and upper back pain
• Help your body recover after pregnancy and C-section
• Give you an hour where someone is finally taking care of YOU
If you’re a postpartum mama feeling tight, exhausted, and touched out… this is your reminder that your body deserves care too.

“I thought my headaches were just part of the job.”
That’s what my client told me after years of working long shifts under harsh hospital lighting.
You know the lights I’m talking about…
The bright overhead fluorescent lights that hum all day long. The kind that leave your eyes feeling strained, your neck tight, and your head pounding by the end of a shift.
A lot of healthcare workers don’t realize how much tension they carry from:
• Eye strain
• Jaw clenching
• Forward head posture from charting/computers
• Stress and overstimulation
• Tight shoulders and neck muscles from being “on” all day
My client started noticing a difference when she began wearing blue light blocking glasses and replacing some lighting in her office with LED lighting.
But the biggest relief?
Releasing the muscle tension that had been building in her neck, scalp, shoulders, and upper back for YEARS.
During her massage, I could literally feel how overworked those muscles were.
And here’s the thing most people miss:
A lot of tension headaches don’t START in the head.
They start in the muscles surrounding the neck, jaw, shoulders, and even the tiny muscles around the base of the skull.
When those muscles stay tight long enough, your body starts sounding the alarm:
⚠️ Headaches
⚠️ Eye fatigue
⚠️ Neck stiffness
⚠️ “Burning” shoulders
⚠️ Feeling mentally exhausted even after sleeping
Healthcare workers give so much care to everyone else… but their bodies are usually the ones paying the price.
If you’ve been leaving work with headaches, tight shoulders, or that “fried nervous system” feeling… your body might not need another pain pill.
It might need your muscles to finally let go.

“My hips haven’t felt this good since I had my first baby 20 years ago.”
That’s what my client told me after her session.
Years of tension, tight hips, low back pressure, desk-job posture, stress, old compensation patterns. Your body starts adapting to discomfort so slowly that you forget what normal is supposed to feel like.
Until one day you get off the table and get a taste of what’s it’s like to feel more like yourself. Able to move more freely and comfortably.
If your hips feel locked up, your low back stays tight, or you constantly shift positions trying to get comfortable… your muscles may not need more stretching.
They may need the right hands working the right areas.
Therapeutic massage focused on:
• hips
• glutes
• low back
• SI joint tension
• mobility + pain relief
