When asked about today's woman, she had this to say:

"We senior ladies are not our grandmothers’ grandmothers! We are active, health-conscious, and we still care about our appearance. Yes, our hair may have turned silver, but that’s just a color—not an indication that our lives are over. We still have so much life to live, so many adventures to experience, and so many memories to make!"

Her platform? Wounded Warrior Project and Stop Soldier Su***de.

She chose this platform because:

"Protecting our veterans is deeply personal to me. As a military wife and mother, I have seen firsthand the challenges our service members can face during the first 12 to 18 months after leaving the military. After years of having a mission, a purpose, and a strong sense of belonging, suddenly they can find themselves asking, “What now?” They may struggle to find meaningful employment, rebuild their identity as a civilian, reconnect with their families, or cope with the invisible wounds of war, including PTSD. And for some, that transition becomes a matter of life and death. More than 20 veterans die by su***de every day. Behind every statistic is a husband, a father, a mother, a daughter, a son, or a friend whose life mattered. That is why protecting our veterans isn't just something I talk about—it is something I actively support."

This November in Biloxi, Mississippi, she will join extraordinary women from around the globe, each bringing their unique story, platform, and passion to our celebration of women over 50.
