Jesus said “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My FATHER will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." John 14:23 This is a promise worth focusing on today when we honor our fathers. Thank You, Father GOD, for loving us so generously.

TO ALL YOU SPURS FANS!
Our hearts may be a little heavy today after our Spurs took a tough loss last night. We love our team, we love the grind, and we always want to see that "W" on the scoreboard. Reading the Apostle Paul's words this morning in Philippians 3:8, Paul didn't mince words. He was radically blunt about what truly matters. He wrote: "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ." So how do you think Paul would write the post-game report for a loss like this?

Maybe something like this: The Final Score is Temporary: Wins, losses, championship rings, and pristine season records are things the world values deeply—but in the grand scheme of eternity, it's "skubalon" (the literal Greek word for rubbish, trash, or refuse). The ULTIMATE PRIZE doesn't change. A loss on the court doesn't change our standing in the only game that matters. Earthly trophies gather dust, but knowing Jesus is a prize that never fades!

I think he would remind us to never let our joy depend on earthly outcomes. We can love our Spurs and still recognize that even the greatest sports franchise on earth is nothing compared to the infinite worth of knowing Christ.

Losing a game hurts for a day, but His grace sustains us forever. Dusting ourselves off, keeping the faith, and looking forward to the next chapter—both on the court and in our spiritual walks!
Go Spurs Go, and y'all have a blessed Sunday! 🏀✝️

This is so true and this legendary physician, educator, and medical statesman whose career spanned over 75 years, and who performed some of the first heart transplants, no doubt had prayed for the healing of others OFTEN and knew first-hand about this healing!

As we prepare to worship the Lord today, this is time to REMEMBER those who gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting our American freedom, including the right to gather and worship freely. "For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” Romans 5:6-9. The soldiers who went to war and died - experiencing the horrors and ravages of war, most of us who never experienced that will never comprehend. They were willing to die so we could live and enjoy our freedom. Let us never forget their sacrifice! Let us also never forget Jesus Christ was willing to go to the Cross and die in our place so that we could experience eternal life, the ultimate freedom! He experienced the full wrath of God for OUR sin. Without our soldiers' sacrifices, we would not have freedom. Without the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ - we would not have freedom eternally! This is a day to be GRATEFUL for those sacrifices! 🙌

IF YOU ARE FEELING ALONE OR SAD ON MOTHER'S DAY ...

Maybe you’ve lost your mother?

Maybe you were expecting to be a mother but your baby was stillborn? Or you had a miscarriage?

Maybe you and your husband struggle with infertility?

Maybe you have lost a child or children?

Maybe you are estranged from your child or children and it FEELS as if you’ve lost them?

Maybe your child is in the hospital?

Or maybe it’s your mother, step-mother, or mother-in-law who is in the hospital?

Maybe you feel guilty for placing your child up for adoption?

Maybe your mother is not well (physically or mentally) and you don’t know how to care for her?

Or maybe you have a strained relationship with your mother?

Maybe you don’t even know your mother?

Or maybe you struggle being a single mother, a step mother, a foster mother, or an adoptive mother?

Maybe you are struggling just to keep it together and you don’t feel like you can BE a good mother?

If you can identify with one or more of these heartfelt hurts, I know how Mother’s Day can not only feel lonely but be dreaded. You may want to pull the covers over your head and not wake up til it’s over.

No matter what the reasons are, you are not STUCK here. God never intended for you to carry these burdens alone. Because of what you’re experiencing and in the process of overcoming, there is PURPOSE already prepared for you. Let me share what Paul said about this in his letter to the Ephesians:

“For we are His workmanship [✨masterpiece✨], created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:10)

Turn your eyes towards what God has already prepared for you. I'm sure it will look different than what you expected. You don’t have to struggle to create it, just walk into what HE has prepared. He wants to turn the PAIN you carry into PURPOSE. Don’t keep looking back. God will take care of all that. If you are curious how to look forward and not back, how God can move your pain into purpose, please type PAIN TO PURPOSE in Comments or ~Message us. Or maybe you will SHARE this with someone you know who needs the encouragement. We are here for you.
