What actually happens to your skin when you get a MOXI laser? 🔬

Most med spas will tell you their laser is the gentlest, or the best. The real answer lives at a cellular level.

Here’s the short version.
MOXI is a 1927nm fractional thulium laser. That wavelength is absorbed by water in your skin cells, creating thousands of microscopic treatment zones (MTZs) while leaving the tissue between them completely intact. Those untouched zones are what makes healing so fast. Your skin uses them as a scaffold to repair itself from the inside out.

In the days that follow, your skin enters the MEND process (Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris), where damaged cells, melanin, and dull surface layers are physically pushed up and shed within 7 to 14 days. Underneath, a fresh, more even layer takes their place.

Then the real magic begins. Deeper in the dermis, fibroblasts kick into gear and start producing new collagen. Procollagen mRNA can reach 8 to 9 times baseline, and stays elevated for up to 6 months. Translation: the skin you see at week 2 is not the final result. Your skin keeps remodeling, smoothing, and strengthening for half a year after a single treatment.
