Five years ago, I brought Christan, Kade, and Nik with me to a new location. We had outgrown our first shop and were ready for something bigger. We sat down together, looked around, and knew this place could become something awesome.
On October 5, 2021, we opened the doors to the new spot. Coley and Brad came along with us, and soon after, Abby and Kelsey joined the crew.
Since then, some have come and gone. Some have moved on to open shops of their own and start the next chapter of their journey.
Looking back, I’m just really proud that The Bearded Eagle has been a part of their journey—and the journey of so many others.
It’s been really cool to step back and see what this shop has become, the opportunities it’s created, and what it has meant to so many people over the years.
What started as us simply needing more room became something a lot bigger than I ever expected.
And I’m damn proud of that.

Hello, my name is Chad Whitman. I’m a licensed barber, the owner of The Bearded Eagle Barbershop, and the founder of Remembered Well.
I’ve spent more than a decade helping people look and feel like themselves. During that time, I began thinking about something most families may not realize: when a loved one passes away, their hair and beard can still be an important part of how everyone remembers them.
Families carefully choose the clothing, photographs and details that represent their loved one. I believe their familiar haircut, beard or personal style deserves that same care.
That is why I created Remembered Well—a professional memorial hair and beard grooming service. Using recent photographs and guidance from the family, I work in coordination with the funeral home to help create a familiar, dignified final appearance.
This is sensitive work, and I consider it a privilege to serve families during such an important moment. Every person will be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
