Things that scare me as an esthetician… (*cue screaming*) 😵



TikTok skin trends are scary for a multitude of reasons:

- They do not take into consideration of YOUR exact needs
- They can contain misleading advice
- Some products used in trends can have harsh, unrecommended ingredients
- It can snowball into being a waste of your time and money

It is always best to consult a skincare professional on what your skin needs, and create a skincare routine that is best suited for YOU. 🤍

This scrub is insanely abrasive and way too harsh for skin. This scrub is made with sharp, jagged crushed walnut shells that will absolutely damage the skin barrier, cause irritation, and can even cause micro abrasions. 😖

Makeup wipes do not give your face an adequate cleansing, and can smear makeup, oil, and bacteria around your skin instead of truly removing it and can even push everything into the pores of your skin.

Some makeup wipes are also made with ingredients (to help them stay fresh and moist in the package) that are not kind to your skin. Some ingredients in makeup wipes can cause irritation.

It is highly recommended to use a cleanser recommended by a skincare professional, along with Clean Skin Club towels. ✨
