🌸 The key difference between a traditional brow tattoo and permanent makeup (PMU) lies in the technique, depth, and type of pigment used🌸
• Traditional Brow Tattoo: Uses a tattoo machine and carbon-based ink, depositing color deep into the dermis. This makes it truly permanent, but over time, the ink may blur and shift to blue or green hues.
• Permanent Makeup (PMU): Uses specialized pigments designed for cosmetic tattooing and is implanted more superficially in the epidermal-dermal junction. Techniques like powder brows, ombré brows, and microblading create a softer, more natural look. Because PMU fades gradually over 1–3 years, touch-ups are necessary to maintain the desired shape and color.
