No really tho this is a “bullet” through and through and looks absolutely sickening in it 💥🔫

My rug tufting opus ❤️‍🔥 “Untitled”

(my 3D take on a painting by Clyfford Still of the same title)

I used cut and loop pile tufting guns, punch needle embroidery and hand-stitching for this commission.

Materials include acrylic/wool/cotton/chenille yarns, food service aprons, fabric strips, VHS tape, bodega bags, compost bags, trash bags, sari silk, plastic booties, and a bit of an old REI camping mat…plus a whole lot of my love, my time and my ocd. ✨

Thankfully it now lives with my good friends and so I can visit and feel it up whenever I miss it 😻

Channeled full-on Kurt energy into this synthetic Marilyn wig for my friend !

The transformation took around an hour total. First I steamed it with the upholstery brush attachment on a clothing steamer, to loosen the wave.
I cut it using a combination of razor cutting and blunt "kitchen scissor" snips. I then used the "strobe hair" spray contouring kit to root it out and dirty it up! No other products needed since the color spray had a great dry texture spray feel on its own.

We are a private salon studio located within the artist collective. We are at the border of East Williamsburg and Bushwick, a quick walk from the the Morgan L train stop.

We share our halls with a community of artists including jewelers, sculptors, tattoo artists, photo/videographers
and mixed media/textile artists.

We are looking for a hairdresser or nail tech to rent a station at , which would include: storage space,
backbar products, refreshments for clients, clean towels/aprons/capes/robes, and Vagaro scheduling. We'll also post your work and hype you up to help your ideal rad client find you.

Our rental rates are:
1-2 day per week: $100/day
3 days/week: $1000 a month
4 days/week: $1200 a month
