I haven’t been able to do my Electric Forest dump yet and I think it’s time. I never thought cutting hair would take me places the way it has. It has truly changed my life. This was an experience I will never forget and hopefully the first of many. A special thanks to Orlando Festival Braids for believing in me and allowing me to be part of the team. I made lifelong friends at this place.

ALRIGHT, all my girls, g**s, theys, and every ally in between. It’s freaking JUNE. It’s time to be a little extra proud. For this month, I’ll be handing out punch cards. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to find the right words to describe the emotion I felt when I held this letter in my hands. There’s no way to make anyone understand how long this road has felt for me, and how many times I thought I’d never make it to this moment. All I can say is, thank you to every single person who believed in me, saw me, supported me, and pushed me. I lost people, I lost myself, and I found a version of myself I never knew existed. Here’s to being fu***ng proud of myself, yall. Cheers.
