Version one is the lens so many women are taught to use when looking at their own faces. It’s the language of flaws, correction, prevention, and fixing, and we’ve been steeped in it for as long as most of us can remember.

For some women, age-related changes are something they genuinely want to address, and that’s their choice.

Version two asks something different of me. It takes more intention to soften, reframe, and accept what I see as I age—but it also feels far more peaceful in my body.

I’m choosing version two for myself.

Not because I never notice the lines, the gray, the changes, or the imperfections. I do.

I just don’t want to spend the rest of my life treating my face like a list of problems to solve.

A lot of scalp products are built for the marketing angles: a little rosemary, a little biotin, a little caffeine, a little of whatever else is having a moment. It can sound impressive, but more ingredients don’t necessarily make a formula more effective, especially when the ones that should be doing the heavy lifting are present only in trace amounts.

When I formulated our Rosemary Scalp Oil, I wanted to do the opposite. Keep it simple, skip the fillers, choose select ingredients for a reason, and use them at meaningful levels.

That means the right chemotype and concentration of rosemary essential oil, along with pumpkin seed oil and black cumin seed oil—three ingredients I chose because there’s actual evidence behind their use for scalp and hair support.

Could we have added another ten trendy ingredients to the label?

Absolutely.

But I’d rather formulate for efficacy than for the back of the bottle. Because sometimes simple doesn’t mean basic; sometimes it means you know exactly what you’re doing.

Sera Body Oil is my personal scent blend, the one I wear almost every day as a perfume, turned into a body oil for the first time. This nuanced blend of vetiver, lavender, and basil is rich, sweet, and profoundly grounding. The name Sera means “will be” in Spanish and French, and reminds me to be brave and true to myself, and that whatever will be will be.

Night Body Mousse is the same scent as our Night Body Oil, but in mousse form. You asked for it, and here it finally is!

Harvest Rose is my take on patchouli + rose, an ancient perfumery combination. Patchouli is present, but it’s not the only note you smell, which can often happen with patchouli. The rose, ginger, and black pepper all soften and complicate the patchouli, making it less of a loud voice and more of a chord. I crave this scent when the cooler weather arrives, and find it deeply comforting.

Fresh, bright, spicy, and warm, this single note brings an instant sense of safety and wellness. What more could you want in a jar??

Indian sandalwood and fresh ginger dance together in this scent, and it lasts hours on your skin. Sweet spice and woodsy warmth are perfect for these early fall days.
