Ten years ago, I opened the doors to my very first storefront.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

I put outlets in the wrong places. I learned leadership the way I think most of us actually learn it, by making mistakes, owning them, learning from them, and trying again.

There were seasons I questioned myself. Seasons I was exhausted. Seasons where owning a business felt heavier than I ever imagined it would.

But when I look back at the last ten years, I also see so much that little me never could have imagined.

I see thousands of dollars given back to organizations supporting cancer survivors, Riley Children’s Hospital, Shepherd Community Center, Habitat for Humanity, and so many other causes close to our hearts.

I see countless full sets, services, gift cards, and donations given to help people in our community.

I see an orphanage in Morocco that we were able to support.

I see a school for girls in Kenya.

I see women I have had the privilege of working beside, teaching, learning from, laughing with, crying with, and growing alongside.

Some are still here. Some went into completely different industries. Some went on to build businesses of their own.

And I am grateful for every single one of them.

Every person taught me something.

Every mistake taught me something.

Every hard season changed me.

Every beautiful season reminded me why I started.

Sometimes I can be incredibly hard on myself. I can look at everything I still want to improve instead of stopping long enough to see everything that has already happened.

So maybe this is the reminder I need.

Look at the little girl in those pictures.

She had no idea what was coming.

She had no idea how much she would have to overcome, how much she would learn, how many people she would meet, or how many lives her little business would eventually touch.

But she made it here.

And I think she would be really proud of me.

Ten years in this space.

Eighteen years in business.

And somehow, I still feel like I am learning every single day.

Little Kate, you made it.

And we are not finished yet. 🤍

A lash lift is not just putting solution on the lashes and setting a timer. 👀

One of the most important parts of a lash lift is knowing when the lashes are actually ready.

During your service, we are checking the lashes throughout the process to see how they are responding. Lash texture, thickness, previous treatments, and overall lash health can all change how quickly the hair processes.

That means two people can need completely different processing times.

This is also exactly why I do not recommend doing a lash lift at home. Leaving solution on too long can overprocess the lashes, leaving them dry, frizzy, damaged, or even causing breakage. Taking it off too soon can leave you with barely any lift at all.

The goal is not just curled lashes.

The goal is beautifully lifted lashes while protecting the health and integrity of your natural lashes. 🤍
