You wouldn’t let just anyone perform a medical procedure on you…so why is it different when it comes to injectables & other aesthetic treatments?

Whether it’s filler, neurotoxin, lasers, chemical peel, microneedling, facials, etc. EVERY single one of these treatments interacts with LIVING tissue!! Blood vessels, nerves, layers of skin, muscle, ligaments, fat pads, glands, etc.

Fitzpatrick scale, skin thickness, oil production, sensitivity, barrier function, underlying conditions, facial anatomy & physiology, medications, etc. ALL changes what’s safe, what’s effective, & what could cause serious harm.

Filler and toxin are injected into a face full of blood vessels and nerves. The wrong plane, the wrong depth, the wrong volume & you’re looking at vascular occlusion, tissue necrosis, or blindness.

The wrong wavelength with a laser treatment on the wrong skin tone/type causes burns, permanent pigmentation changes, and scarring. This requires an understanding of physics, skin biology, and fitzpatrick typing not just a settings chart.

Depth has to be matched to skin type, skin history, and current skin condition. A peel that resurfaces one patient can destroy another’s barrier entirely.

Contraindications exist & screening matters.

Blood vessels run through nearly every layer, superficial and deep, supplying the skin, muscles, fat pads, and bone. Your skin is a system and every layer responds differently to treatment, especially when it comes to the face.

Aesthetic treatments are not beauty services. They are medical procedures & they should be treated as one.

This is why seeing a TRAINED provider matters. Not a an online course. Not a certification from a two-day class. Real, extensive, clinical training in anatomy, physiology, skin science, pharmacology, and emergency management.

Because when something goes wrong (and in this industry, it can), your provider needs to know what they’re looking at and exactly what to do.

Do they carry hyaluronidase in case of a vascular occlusion?
Do they know the signs of a skin reaction before it becomes a crisis?
Do they understand which treatments should never be combined and why?
