It's hard to share the bad. It's the bad things, however, that we try to shelter others from, that end up having such an insurmountable impact on our day to day life. I wonder if things feel so much bigger because we hide them, face the battle alone, and try to manage to keep up the illusion of what's expected. No matter how this makes me look, it's raw, it's real, it's a part of me.
Epilepsy looks so different for everyone. This is just our journey. We chose to share hoping to shed some light on how we thrive outside of the 'norms. If sharing this helps just a single person to stop and think even for one second to consider that everyone has their own hidden battles; right now, is the worst and it really will get better.
