Over a year and a half ago I decided I was going to dedicate my face to science. I haven’t had Botox injections in 20 months…

I had been injecting for 5 years and started to see my patients responding to neurotoxin less and less, myself included. The dose that normally would last 90 days was lasting 60 (Yes, even with applying the onset and offset bell curve).

The solution is always to switch neurotoxins and/or increase the dose… The problem is that I was already rotating neurotoxin brands for my patients to avoid this and increasing the dose meant more $$$ and frankly results that weren’t favorable.

So I set out to find another way to deliver glass skin and wrinkle reduction… and along the way, I realized I gained a lot more than that.

I have that same tight, glass-skin finish but I have full mobility of my face. I don’t have any visible wrinkles but I can move my facial muscles. I look so much more like myself and I’m really proud of that.

Not one person agreed with me that this was possible… but all it took was one person to prove it was. So here we are 🤏🏼

This video is the exact moment I knew we finally perfected the barrier baume formula. It’s surreal that I captured this moment on video and now we are one day out from launch.

My smile at the end says it all.

My incredibly talented (FEMALE!) chemist and I have been developing and working on this formula for over 2 years.

From the ground up— selecting ingredients, sourcing raw materials that match our required specifications and paperwork, tweaking ingredient percentages, perfecting the emulsion system, PET testing, microbial testing, HRIPT testing with dermatologists, Consumer Perception Clinical Study with our dubose customers, the list goes on and on.

To be honest, the process of custom formulation is grueling. You don’t see years of work behind the scenes. We don’t stop until the formula matches my standards or outperforms them, which at times feels impossible and sometimes it truly is.

It took me years in this industry to learn this is not the norm. It has made me question if this industry is right for me. Question if I will be able to survive the rat race against companies who shell out products every quarter. If caring and giving this much will pay off or if I’m playing the “game” the wrong way.

But recently it hit me that the people who are doing truly amazing things are doing it their way, doing it differently, going the extra mile even though some people may disagree with it or say they are wasting precious time.

There is no blue print. The only wrong way to do business is to have no unique way of doing business. You have to standout somehow, and for me that is through my commitment to delivering you the best of the best. The sunken costs, lost time, and insane amount of energy is worth it to me.

Our products stand out because they are a true testament to quality over quantity. If we can’t do it better we aren’t doing it at all. I’m not here to sell you product after product, I’m here to change the industry and set new standards.
