We are a local family salon with a fun eclectic appeal where we guarantee you a unique, rock-star experience that includes high quality hair & chemical services complemented by education & haircare products suitable for all hairstyles AND lifestyles. Lava Salon was started in 2006 by Geoff Richardson and Noel Richardson. We love what we do and we hope that our love shows every time you walk through the doors at Lava Salon. Our goal is to provide you the best possible service in an enjoyable and fun salon setting. At Lava Salon, we guarantee a unique salon experience in a friendly atmosphere. We like to think of ourselves as hip, trendy and in touch with the vibe of Charleston. Our stylists can cut and color your everyday hair needs and can also handle special hair events like weddings, parties and graduations. LAVA SALON IS MAKING A BIG MOVE
After 20 amazing years in Avondale, it’s time for Lava to turn the page and begin a new chapter.
We’ve made the intentional decision to consolidate all of our energy and focus on our Park Circle location. As part of this next chapter, our building was listed for sale and is currently under contract!
We can’t say anything more except that we are very excited for who the buyers are and know Avondale will be too.
Avondale has meant the world to us. The relationships and memories created here — including raising our two sons, Cason & Kyler in Byrnes Downs — will never be forgotten.
Thank you for 20 years of loyalty and Lava Luv 🌋 ❤️. We hope you’ll join us in Park Circle, where there’s always good parking and we’re even open on Sundays!
