Hey 👋🏻 It’s me, Jen 😆

I feel like lately I’ve been the worst at showing my face or keeping up with socials in general.

I’ve been working on so many things behind the scenes that honestly, I just run out of time!

Working behind the chair consumes so much of my energy and time that anything else related to work has to happen on my off time. So before work, after work, weekends, you name it!

If doing hair was the only thing I had in the works, life would be pretty simple. But running a business is so much more than just the hair.

But! As some of you know, I’ve been finally taken the leap in my business at add a plus one! ☝🏼

I’m so excited to introduce my new assistant to all of you. And I hope it will allow me to be more present in all aspects of my business. So stay tuned for meeting her!

In the meantime, just know that if I get quiet on here, I’m still doing hair (probably lots of it) and I’m working on a million things at the same time.

If it was easy, everyone would do it.

Owning my own business for 8 years has taught me how to be a little more resilient.

Every year has pushed me and helped me grow as a person. It has showed me I am capable of anything I set my mind too.

Moving to this new suite, I have had the biggest goals for myself and my business.

I’m so proud of how much I’ve already accomplished in the year and a half I’ve been in the new location. And CANNOT wait to see how much more I grow in the years to come.

This new space will allow me to grow my business in ways i’ve only ever dreamed of.

It’s been a labor of love. There’s definitely been setbacks and tears. But my business coach tells me that expanding yourself is always uncomfortable. And that she is absolutely right about!

I can’t wait to share everything I’ve been working on with you.

She brought in the inspiration. Her natural hair did the rest.

She was done fighting her hair. Done with the upkeep, the constant appointments, the color that never quite felt like hers anyway.

So we went back to her natural color. We softened it, added dimension so it moved and caught light the way good color should. Then used k-tips around her face to give her the fullness and body she’d been missing.

Low maintenance doesn’t mean low impact. It just means more natural!

Hey, It’s me!

I don’t post me a ton. But here I am!

Okay so this year has been nuts. And the fact it’s over halfway through is MIND BLOWING. 🤯

I think some of my highlights this year are,

- staying consistent with steps, lifting, and now running

- learning how to work with ponytails and creating custom installs for my clients (this has taken some serious practice)

- getting married to Jim and taking some time to enjoy some time alone (if you know, that is rare for us)

- constantly leveling up my business and myself (i’m renovating the studio, hiring an assistant, and so excited for future growth!)

I know the second half of this year is going to fly by. I’m so excited to see how it unfolds.
