8.8.26 ~ I’m getting married.

The consultation is one of the most important parts of any appointment.

In those first few months, we’re learning your hair, building trust, and creating a routine that’s realistic for your lifestyle.

Not every style is right for every person, and not every stylist is the perfect fit. My goal is to help you find what truly works for you, not just for today, but long-term.

The best part of the appointment was watching my guest stand up, check the back of her hair in the mirror, and smile. That reaction said everything about the finished look.

My client knew exactly what she wanted and came prepared with her inspiration photo. During the consultation, we talked through the look, her current length, and what it would take to bring this short style to life. The finished look is coming next!

She came in ready for a fresh start after cutting off her locs, and today I got to bring her pixie vision to life.

Once I relaxed her hair, you could really see the length that was there, and from there I was able to shape and style her new look.

This is just the beginning of her short-hair journey.

After recently cutting off her locs, she came in ready to begin a completely new chapter with her hair.

During her consultation, we discussed her inspiration, the thickness of her natural hair and what she can expect once her hair is relaxed. Although it looks very short in its natural state, relaxing it will reveal more of the length she already has and give us a foundation for her pixie cut.

We also talked about something that deserves its own conversation: being committed to the hairstyle you choose and allowing time for you and your new stylist to learn each other. More on that topic soon.
