It’s been a while…

Last time I posted, I was celebrating my 40th birthday + 5-year wedding anniversary at Grove Park Inn.

I spent most of that weekend unplugged, enjoying time with my husband and taking time for myself.

Danny & I enjoyed the spa, and I got a fabulous 1-hour massage that Saturday afternoon.

Well before I was a veteran Massage Therapist, I got bodywork from when I played softball & danced in High School…

I have had some excellent sessions, some mediocre, and some exceptional.

The massage I received at Grove Park that day was one of the very best massages I’ve ever had!

From the beginning, I knew I was in capable hands.

The therapist shared with me that she had been working at the spa for 15 years, with about the same amount of time in the field as what I’ve spent doing this work.

But, it wasn’t her time & tenure as an LMBT that made her exceptional…

Her intuition, care, attention to detail, patience, calming & present energy, & love for her craft is what made this session magnificent.

I knew that no matter her time in this field, she has been wonderful from the very beginning.

There are people who do massage…

And, then there are Therapists, like this one at Grove Park and myself, that truly are doing what God has laid forth before them and Know it.

I was so blessed to be on her table that day for her to share her heart with me, and I pray I end up in her capable hands again one day- I’m beyond grateful for the healing experience I received that day!

I share this because whether you’re a fellow therapist following me, or someone on a different career path, I’ll invite you to look at yourself and ask if you’re doing what God has set forth before you; Are you fulfilled & happy?

Too often we get stuck in a grind or in pleasing others, but, what if you look at what’s honestly true to your heart?

Every session I do is utterly and completely a song from my heart, & I can’t imagine a life without being able to give to others the way this profession allows me to- I am so very blessed!

Happy Friday!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted…

Life as a small business owner + being a mama + PTO President at my kids’ school has kept me busy!

But, it’s time for a much-needed break.

I celebrated my 40th birthday on 3/26, and my 5-year wedding anniversary on 3/27- Danny and me are going to Asheville this weekend to continue celebrating these milestones.

I’ve been out-of-office since yesterday afternoon and will be minimally available until my return back to work Monday evening, 4/6.
