I was watching a video of a woman breaking down why so many people are so emotionally fascinated with the Michael Jackson biopic and story right now… and whew, it really hit me deeper than I expected.

Not just about fame or music.

But about soul identity, purpose, sensitivity, creativity, and what happens when someone knows deep down they were meant for something bigger.

The woman in the video talked about how some people carry a deeper emotional and creative assignment in this life… and honestly, it made me think about women in midlife too.

Especially women 40+.

I think a lot of women are not just dealing with stress or burnout.

I think many are experiencing identity evolution.

That feeling where your soul starts whispering:
“There’s more.”
“There’s another version of me trying to emerge.”

But evolving can feel uncomfortable when the current version of your life is the version that helped you survive.

For years many women have been in performance mode:
taking care of everybody,
working nonstop,
being responsible,
trading hours for dollars,
putting dreams on hold,
shrinking themselves to fit their responsibilities.

So when life starts pulling you toward expansion…
toward creating,
building,
traveling,
leading,
starting over,
being softer,
being freer,
or simply wanting MORE from life…

it can almost feel unrealistic or even scary.

And honestly, this video hit me personally too because I can see how much of my own life lately has been about expanding beyond old versions of myself, stepping outside my comfort zone, and reconnecting with parts of me that got buried under responsibility, survival, routine, and years of just doing what needed to be done.

I think many people are not resisting opportunity…

they’re resisting change.

They’re resisting becoming unfamiliar to themselves.
