If you’re a woman over 40 and you can’t sleep, save this. 🔖

✨ Just comment SLEEP if you’re ready to stop guessing 💌

Here’s what frustrates me: so many women are walking around with “normal” lab results while barely functioning from exhaustion. I was one of them. And it wasn’t until I ran the right tests that everything finally made sense.

Standard bloodwork ranges tells you if something is seriously wrong. Functional bloodwork ranges tells you how your body is actually performing. That difference is often the exact reason you’re still not sleeping.
If you have been told your labs are “normal” and still not sleeping, this is what I would have run and why. Use the optimal ranges I provided to help you to start getting to potential root causes:

🧪 Hormone Panel — fluctuating progesterone directly impacts your GABA receptors, the ones responsible for that calm, sleepy feeling. If your hormones are off, your sleep will be too.
🧪 Blood Sugar Panel — blood sugar crashes at night trigger a cortisol spike to compensate. Cortisol at 3am means you’re wide awake at 3am. This one is massively underrated.
🧪 Histamine & Methylation — high histamine is a sneaky sleep wrecker that almost nobody talks about. And if your methylation pathways are sluggish, your body can’t properly regulate neurotransmitters or detox excess hormones — both critical for sleep.
🧪 Full Thyroid Panel — not just TSH. A full panel. A sluggish thyroid affects your energy, your mood, and your sleep quality in ways that a basic thyroid check will completely miss.

Testing is better than guessing. Always.

Before working with me, her sleep was fragmented, exhausting, and honestly, a little scary. 🥺

She dreaded bedtime because she already knew how the night would go: waking up multiple times, reaching for Trazodone 💊 just to get back to sleep, then waking up feeling hungover the next morning.
Sound familiar? 😔

Here’s the thing.
She wasn’t broken and she wasn’t imagining it. Her body was sending signals that conventional approaches had never actually investigated. Once we got into the labs and found out what her body specifically needed (not just guessed at), everything shifted.

Now? Sleep is easy. 💤
She falls asleep without a fight, and if she wakes up in the middle of the night, she goes right back to sleep. No Trazodone. No dread. Just sleep.
This is exactly why testing is better than guessing.
You can’t fix what you haven’t actually identified. 🧪🌱

If you’re tired of generic advice that doesn’t address what’s actually going on in your body, comment “LABS” and I’ll send you the details on the functional testing we use to figure out your specific root causes. 🤍

If you’re waking up at 3am, melatonin is not your answer. 🌙

Another bottle of magnesium is not a nervous system & cortisol agent. You dont need more Lavendar. Get off TikTok girlfriend. 🥲
Your blood sugar, cortisol, or progesterone are begging for you to find them and restore them to their full potential.

Comment LABS and let’s figure out where your body is deficient and restore it to the health you deserve and get the sleep you were always meant to have. 🌱

Do your thing, algorithm, and send me the women that are so done being told to just live with it! 🫶🏼

Share & follow me, you’re in the right place! 💌

So glad you’re here! I was told the same thing for years until I got fed up and started digging for real answers myself.

Functional lab 🧪 testing was the turning point. ✨
It showed me my sleep issues were both in my body and my mind, not something I just had to live with. That’s the whole reason I built my program for midlife women, so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Comment “LIST” and I’ll send you my go-to sleep support protocol.

Quick fix isn’t the goal. A calmer nervous system is. Most sleep advice just treats symptoms. If you don’t know what’s driving yours (stress, blood sugar, hormones, gut), you’re guessing.

This protocol breaks down exactly what I recommend, why, and what to watch for, plus 15% off practitioner-grade supplements in my Fullscript dispensary.

Comment “LIST” and I’ll send it your way.

Think progesterone is your magic sleep pill? For some women, it does the opposite. 🥹

Follow me for more advice and part 3!

Your body converts it into allopregnanolone, the calm hormone that works on your GABA system. But in some women, that system reacts to it all wrong, and instead of calm, you get wired, anxious, wide awake.

It’s not about quitting progesterone. It’s about the dose, the timing, and how you’re taking it.

Follow for part three, and tag a friend who might be dealing with this too. 🧡

You’re not waking up at 3 AM because you’re “too stressed.” 🌙
You’re waking up because your body is trying to protect you.
This isn’t in your head—it’s in your blood sugar. And your liver.

Ok, Here’s what’s actually happening:

Around 2-4 AM, your body runs low on stored glucose. This is especially common in midlife, when hormonal changes make it harder to maintain stable blood sugar overnight.
Your brain senses the drop and panics—so it hits the cortisol alarm.

You jolt awake. Hot. Wired. Heart pounding.
And you’re told it’s just anxiety. 😟

But here’s what’s really behind that sleep disruption:
✨ You eat a clean diet-but your liver doesn’t hold enough glycogen to get you through the night.
✨ Estrogen shifts make your body more sensitive to blood sugar dips.
✨ Your detox pathways are clogged, so your liver is running night shift when it should be off-duty.

The result? A cortisol surge that wakes you like clockwork.
Want to stop the cycle?

Start here:
🍃 Support your liver with nutrients like glycine, milk thistle, and NAC.

Adjust your dinner to include protein, fat and carbs-to keep blood
sugar steady through the night.

Wear a CGM —even if your A1C looks “fine.”

You’re not broken. You’re just biologically misunderstood.

This is the kind of pattern we resolve every day inside my programs-with real data, not guesses. 🌱

And once we fix the root issue, you don’t just sleep-you trust your body again.

Still wide awake at 3am even on HRT? There’s a reason for that, and it’s not your dose.

Comment LABS and I’ll send you info straight to your inbox! 💌

Estradiol can increase histamine, and if your body’s already carrying a heavy histamine load, that early morning histamine rise (similar to cortisol) can push you into anxious, wired, wide awake mode before you’re ready to be up.
The fix isn’t ditching your HRT. It’s figuring out why your histamine bucket is full in the first place. And that’s not a guessing game, it’s something we can actually test for.

Comment LABS and I’ll send you info on root cause testing that can tell you what’s driving this. Part 2 coming soon. ✨

You didn’t just have a bad night. Now you’re spending all day thinking about it too.

Follow along if you’re on the midlife sleep journey too!! 🫶🏼

Checking how many hours you got. Telling three different people you slept terribly. Already dreading bedtime before it’s even 2pm. Sound familiar?

Here’s what’s actually happening: when you spend the day fixated on how tired you are, you’re keeping your nervous system in that same low grade alert state that kept you up in the first place. Every time you think “I’m so exhausted, tonight is going to be a disaster,” your body reads that as a threat and releases more cortisol. So you’re not just tired from bad sleep, you’re adding a whole extra layer of stress on top of it, and that stress is exactly what makes tonight harder too.

Think about all those nights in your 20s when you stayed up late for a concert, a party, a new love interest. You got just as little sleep, maybe less. But you didn’t spend the next day spiraling about it. You just survived, had a great time doing it, and moved on. That tells you something. It’s not the lost sleep itself that wrecks your day. It’s the worry wrapped around it.

Remind yourself, perspective is everything. A bad night of sleep doesn’t have to wreck your day, unless you decide it does.

A few things that help:

✨ Get some sunlight first thing, it helps regulate your body’s rhythm even after a rough night.
✨ Focus on eating well that day instead of reaching for whatever gets you through.
✨ Give yourself one thing to look forward to that has nothing to do with sleep, so your whole day isn’t orbiting around bedtime dread

You’re allowed to feel tired without turning it into a full day event. The goal isn’t pretending you feel great. It’s not letting one rough night decide the whole day for you.

Follow along for more real talk on why your sleep struggles aren’t a mindset failure, and what’s actually going on underneath them 🖤

3 AM hits and it’s the same thought every time: oh no, not again. 😩

Comment LABS 🧪 and let me help you get to the root of it!

Heart pounding. Wide awake.
Already doing the math on how many hours are left before the alarm goes off, and already knowing the answer is not enough. 🫤

You lie there wondering if you’ll ever sleep through the night again. And you already know how tomorrow goes. Foggy at your desk. Skipping your workout because you’re too wiped to show up for it. Half there with your kids when you want to be all the way there.

I used to live that exact night on repeat. It is no way to live.

Here’s what I know now that I didn’t back then: there’s always a reason you’re not sleeping, and it’s usually both body and mind. Find the reason, and that 3am wake up stops being your normal.

Swipe for the 5 things I’d do if I were back there tonight.
Testing is better than guessing. 🤍

Comment LABS and let’s go find your reason!!
