Peace Of Mine

I use a calendar like it’s the holy grail of my existence. Everything from my work schedule to my agreed days on keeping my grand girl gets added to the lineup. 🙌🏾

If you see me doing anything other than breathing, best believe I scheduled it into my plans!💯

So when people seemingly roll out the bed or wake up from their lives & reach out to me for an appointment…to be scheduled on the day they contacted me!? At a time THEY see fit?! Then treat it like it’s life or death!? Suddenly their hair is in serious need of my expertise!? Miraculously, they just DECIDED “it’s time” to seek professional help…RIGHT NOW!? Immediately! It BLOWS MY MIND completely🤯

….cuz at what point did you stop to take a good look at yourself & decide you needed to do better?! Surely it was WAY before THIS MORNING…after you had breakfast!?🙄

Bottom line, I have a process that was created to filter out people who don’t respect structure & or TRUE professionalism. 🤷🏽‍♀️

For some folks, they think it begins & ends with the words “please & thank you” or moving my feet when they wave a couple dollars at me 🙄

Well I’m here to tell you that time management & respect (from you too!!) is REAL big on my list of attributions! So if you move through life on whims…if your priorities are being held together by duct tape & bubble gum…if you don’t like process & or protocols…you won’t like me🤷🏽‍♀️.

So please don’t shoot the messenger. Just find another person to point your frustrations at. I mean, I’m glad you like my work! I appreciate the interest, but I’ve got a business to run…& I can’t do it with people who think I work when THEY want me to or price myself how THEY think I should 🤷🏽‍♀️

The people who can get with that, find me, book without pushback, respect my process & stay!

We spend ridiculous amounts of money on products & promises while totally missing the root of the very thing we hope to achieve.💯

Take care of your body.
Replenish what's lost.💧

Use PROFESSIONAL products that the everyday consumer can't buy.🧴

Have conversations & consultations with professionals that allow you BOTH to come to an agreement.📝

Stop yourself from criticizing beauty experts that don't align with you, & FIND SOMEONE THAT DOES!🔍

Be realistic in your service requests & understand that every style isn't for every body.🤷🏽‍♀️

Understand that your hair is more than a "type", so that alphabet chart u love? Yeah, don't expect a true pro to adhere to it.🔠

If you're using dollar store shampoo, you aren't qualified to give out hair advice.💸🚫

NOBODY has "naturally" black hair...period!🖤

Just because YOU think they should be available to service you on a whim does NOT mean you get to usurp their scheduling process.📆

Everybody's time is valuable. Not just yours.⌚️

I know everybody is on the Micro Loc trend train, but can we please get back to the hair?🫩🤷🏽‍♀️❤️

I’m trying real hard to honor my designated days off, with a full calendar, but my clients still want appointments😩

One thing is for certain & two things are for sure….MY CLIENTS DONT CARE!!

PLEASE stop volunteering & giving them your unsolicited opinions & advice on where they receive their hair care from!

Focus on who you let play in your own head!
