A stressed leader can have good data and still make a bad decision.
Stress doesn’t only affect how you feel.
It can affect:
- Focus.
- Patience.
- Listening.
- Communication.
- Risk tolerance.
- Decision speed.
And yet the meeting still happens.
The contract still gets signed.
The team still needs direction.
That’s why I believe:
✔ The mind leads through the body.
✔ How you feel affects how you lead.
✔ Self-awareness includes the body.
Before the next important decision, ask yourself:
What condition am I in while making this?
Am I clear?
Am I reactive?
Am I exhausted?
Am I choosing quickly because the situation requires it—or because I don’t have the bandwidth to think?
🛑 That pause may change the next move.
This is part of the conversation behind Why Do I Feel Like This? And What YOU Can Do About It!

A lot of people over 40 are quietly asking:
“Why don’t I feel like myself anymore?”
For some women, menopause is part of that answer.
👉 Sleep changes.
👉 Brain fog.
👉 Energy shifts.
👉 Mood changes.
👉 Changes in confidence or concentration.
And yet people are still expected to show up at work, make decisions, lead teams, care for families, and carry responsibility as though nothing has changed.
That’s why I found it significant that ISO just released the first international workplace standard focused on menstruation and menopause.
The workplace is beginning to acknowledge what the body has been telling us for a long time:
The mind leads through the body.
How we feel affects how we think, communicate, decide, and relate.
That is one of the ideas behind Why Do I Feel Like This? And What YOU Can Do About It!
If you’ve been feeling different lately and wondering why, this may be a useful place to begin:

2010 vs. 2026.
37 vs. 53.
And the funny part?
I’m actually just starting to work out again.
So this isn’t really a “look what the gym did” post.
For me, the bigger difference has been what’s happening inside my body.
Less puffiness.
Less bloating.
Better digestion.
More energy.
A body that feels different before I even start talking about muscle.
That’s a big part of why I wrote Why Do I Feel Like This? and why I created FUPA Water in the first place.
Sometimes the issue isn’t that you need to work harder.
Sometimes your body is trying to tell you something.
And yes, I just started training again.

Your body is affecting more than your body.
⁉️ You can call it an attitude.
⁉️ You can call it stress.
⁉️ You can call it getting older.
But if you’re exhausted, poorly hydrated, not sleeping well, dealing with digestive discomfort, hormonal changes, low energy, or changes in sexual function, that physical experience doesn’t just stay inside of you.
It can become:
🧨 Less patience with your partner.
🧨 Shorter responses with your kids.
🧨 Less presence at work.
🧨 More defensiveness.
🧨 Less confidence.
🧨 Less desire to engage.
A version of you that other people have to experience.
And no, that doesn’t excuse how you behave.
It means self-awareness includes paying attention to the body you’re bringing into every room.
Your co-workers & family don't experience your intentions.
They experience your energy.
That’s part of the bigger conversation in Why Do I Feel Like This? And What YOU Can Do About It!
Not just, “How do I feel?”
But:
“Who experiences me when I feel this way?”

Exercise helps.
But it may not fix puffiness, bloat, or fatigue.
You can be doing the workouts, staying active, and still feel like your body is fighting you.
That’s one of the reasons I wrote Why Do I Feel Like This?
If you’ve been feeling bloated, sluggish, tired, or just off, this eBook gives you a practical place to start.

☕️ Her coffee was still sitting there at 4:00 PM.
That is when April realized something had changed.
Around week three, she says her cravings began shifting. She wanted fewer sweets, started losing weight without trying, and noticed less inflammation.
But what caught her attention first?
She made her usual morning coffee and forgot about it because she was still going strong at 4:00 that afternoon.
No quick fix. Just one teaspoon, every morning, with consistency.
And if you have been asking, **“Why do I feel like this?”** that is exactly why I wrote the new book.
It explores what may be happening beneath the exhaustion, cravings, inflammation, brain fog, and other changes you may have accepted as normal, plus what you can begin doing about it.

April’s experience is personal. Results vary.
April said something during our LIVE that caught my attention.
“I’ve never been this awake. I’ve never been this unfoggy.”
What she’s describing is bigger than simply changing what she consumes in the morning. She’s talking about feeling present, clear, engaged, and more connected to herself throughout the day.
That’s the conversation I’m interested in.
Not simply, “What did you eat?”
But, “How does the way you’re caring for your body change the way you experience your life?”
More from my conversation with April coming this week.
I would also put this text on screen in the first 1 to 2 seconds:
“I realized I’ve never been this awake.”
Then let her say it herself later in the clip. That gives viewers a reason to stay for the payoff.
And there is another excellent phrase in this clip that I would save for the thumbnail or a second version:
“It feels like organization in the brain.”
That is unusual enough to make people stop.
"There's not a vitamin out there that's 100% part of my day like this is."
That's not us saying it. That's someone who lives it, every morning, one teaspoon at a time.
Real ingredients. A ritual worth keeping. One teaspoon. Every morning. 🌿🍋
My body is far from perfect.
But at 53, I’m not trying to have a perfect body.
I want a body that works.
A body with energy.
A body that moves.
A body that lets me live the life I actually want to live.
And yes, I want to look good too. 😂
That means paying attention to what I eat, how I move, how I recover — and how much inflammation I’m carrying around unnecessarily.
That last one is a big reason FUPA Water exists.
Less bloat. Less puffiness. A calmer gut. A sharper mind.
I created something I actually wanted to use every day.
My body's still a work in progress.
So is the man living in it.
FUPA Water. Daily Inflammation Flush.

Yesterday, my friends watched me fall apart. Right in front of them.
I'd been traveling for two weeks. Got home, went to play volleyball, one of my routines to move my body and stay in community. About ten minutes in, I went for a ball I was sure was going to be a spectacular play.
Instead I fell like a mannequin stuck in midair. Almost face first in the sand.
We laughed so hard we laid in that sand for a full 30 seconds. Not the polite laugh. The real one.
Here's what stuck with me after. I didn't have to look good. I was in a safe space of community and connection.
Most men don't have that. One in five don't have a single confidant. More than half barely know who they are, so they spend all their energy performing instead of living.
Friends, that's living. Falling, laughing, not having to brush yourself off and pretend it didn't happen.
You're going to fall too. Nothing's perfect. What matters is whether you have a space to land in, laugh at yourself in, and get back up in with the support to actually win.
Find your community so you can be real. We live once.
