Virago was founded in 2012 by Michelle Coburn during the beginning of her natual hair journey.She was inspired to create hair care products that would help all hair types she purchased many products, some which were expensive only to discover that they did not work with her hair type. In the process of creating natural concoctions for herself she decided to create a hair growth serum that could help with hair loss. She tried the serum on a client that lost her hair due to sew-ins and within 2.5 months her hair grew back, healthy and strong. This success caused Michelle to continue to create more products such as the mango shea butter creme that can be used as a styling aid as well as facial mask made of bentonite clay that helps with oily, combination and acne prone skin. Michelle also enrolled in Cosmetology school to pursue her passion of becoming a stylist and received her certification in 2014. This has helped her achieve her of goal of educating others about growing naturally beautiful and healthy hair.
