Today is day two of my healing journey with ARTAS hair restoration. As a surgeon, I wanted a solution that was precise, minimally invasive and designed for natural looking results. Follow along with me as I share my story of provider to patient for hair restoration recovery.

Ok, this was fun!  Alot of people don’t know that we have a world class hair transplant clinic in our office run by Sameea Chughtai at Aesthetic Scalp. She’s really combined a lot of worlds.

1. I did hyperbaric oxygen both before and after.
2. I did exosomes to prime my hair before 
3. We did a fill-in  for the hair to create more density through the front. As I’ve aged, despite having previous hair transplant, my non-transplanted hairs regressed. 
4. Brow transplant.- patients travel all over the world to see Dr Sameea for this. She’s so good at this. She uses calipers in advanced metrics to make sure your brows are framing your face .  I have a bit of hypothyroidism which led to loss of hair in my lateral part of my brow.  She did a brow preview where she marked up my brows for a day so I could see what they looked like. Although I do brow lifts, the anatomy and architecture of the brow hairs -honestly unparalleled by Dr. Sameea.
5. Stealth technique- no shaved heads- we’re hiding my healing areas so that I can see people right away.  no traditional pain meds. No traditional pain meds during the procedure .  I slept and watched YouTube videos all day!!
5. Recovery- i’ve raised the steaks. I’m going back to work the next day and I have 11 consults coming in from all over. I am trusting my recovery process that I’m going to be successful and not scare anyone

Message: I wrote the book the Art of Recovery so that patients could recover faster and without any discomfort .  now, I am the patient, and my protocols always get improved when I myself use them .
