I love being ambitious. I love having a million interests. I love building something of my own while also having a career I care about. I don’t actually want to give any of that up.

But I do want to stop feeling like I’m constantly falling behind in this life I chose because I love my life!

So lately, I’ve been asking myself a different question: What would this look like if it was fun?

Of course I’m still knitting and crocheting, but now I’m doing it with more purpose.

This summer, I really stepped back and took a breath.

What do I *really* need? What makes me happy?

I noticed that I don’t feel well when I’m not actually taking care of myself. How can I be creative when I can barely function as a normal human?

I am a pro at taking something I enjoy and immediately measuring my success or failure.

Lately, I’m intentionally trying things that I have absolutely no plans to monetize, master, or turn into content. I have dabbled in junk/art journaling, creative writing, yoga, and coloring again!

Being bad at something just because it’s fun? Never heard of her 😅

I can care about a lot of things without giving all of them equal energy. I cannot do everything everywhere all at once.

Some things are allowed to sit on the back burner for a while. They’ll still be there when I have the mental and physical capacity for them again.

This one is the hardest. Apparently lying on the couch while adding things to my to-do list isn’t actually rest. Crazy right?

I’m working on letting moments exist without immediately filling them. What am I using to distract myself?

I’m embarrassed that I just now figured out this knitting trick 😅🧶

I always had this issue with the first row of my ribbed hems being so puffy. Well duh because the first row of stitches was in the larger body needle size, not the ribbing needle size.

The trick is to knit one row in the smaller ribbing needle size! This shrinks down that first row of stitches to match the rest of the ribbing stitches!

Have you ever done this?? Did you figure this out way before I did?

Collecting hobbies and crafts like infinity stones at this point 🤷🏻‍♀️🤭🧶

Anyone else struggling to find the time to do all the things they love? I can’t knit, crochet, read, cross stitch, sew, run, swim, and travel all at the same time 😭😭

It’s been 400 years and I’m still knitting this sweater hem 😭

All jokes are on me though because I always end the ribbing too early because I’m ⭐️ impatient ⭐️

Yarn: Brava Sport in Currant and Brindle

Who you get stuck on sleeve island or hem island?

Where are my fellow ABBA lovers at?? 🕺🏻🪩🧶

This was my first time ordering from Katie Aucella-Miller and I’m in love! Her yarn is stunning and her collections are so unique!

Which skein should I knit or crochet up first?? 👀
