After more than a decade in the beauty industry, Amanda was diagnosed with lymphoma. Following her diagnosis, her oncologist recommended she step away from traditional toxic hair color, leading her to discover organic color—a decision that not only changed her health journey, but ultimately saved her career.

Inspired by her own experience, Amanda dreamed of creating a beauty space rooted in healthier alternatives, education, and authenticity while helping clients and fellow stylists better understand the ingredients found in everyday beauty products. That dream became Mae Organic Beauty.

Mae is named after Amanda’s grandmother, Thelma Mae Morley, who passed away from lymphoma before Amanda was born, making the salon’s mission deeply personal and rooted in legacy.

After opening Mae Organic Beauty in 2018 and later expanding to New York City, Amanda has continued to evolve and grow through life’s many pivots—including the pandemic, motherhood, and new beginnings.

Now based in Clarksville, Amanda brings over 15 years of experience behind the chair specializing in lived-in color, healthier hair care, and creating a luxury salon experience rooted in clean beauty and real connection.

When she’s not behind the chair, you can find Amanda adventuring with her four beautiful children, rescuing animals, playing music, thrifting, or adding another creative touch to her space.
