Sometimes one area wants heat. Sometimes another area feels better with cold. Sometimes neither one belongs in the session.
They’re tools—not a theme.

Here’s where Hippy Hands gets a little confusing.
The studio is inside The Next Us Building, upstairs and behind the glass. You can’t really see it from the street, and wandering around confused is not a great way to start a massage.
So I made a reel. 😂

Fun fact: even your hair has muscles.
Tiny muscles attached to your hair follicles contract when you are cold or startled. That is what gives you goosebumps.
Your hair doesn’t need a massage, but the rest of you might.

Massage may work better as an ongoing conversation with your body—not just a one-time rescue mission.
A new study followed people with chronic neck pain who received regular massage. They had greater improvements in pain and daily function, and some of the improvement was still present six months later.
One massage can feel great. Consistent care gives us more time to work with the things that keep coming back.

Here’s something interesting researchers recently found:
A short massage helped athletes feel less pain after exercise—even though their measured muscle stiffness and fluid levels did not change.
That matters because relief isn’t always about “breaking up” something or forcing a muscle to change. Your body is much more interesting than that, and massage doesn’t have to hurt to count.
