I’ve been taking it slow with Open Door Montessori lately 🎉🎉🎉
Yes, I was disappointed and slightly burned out about its development and how much I can do with it…
My burnout was caused by many factors:
- lack of support in integrating Montessori in the arenas I envisioned it to expand into: early childhood education, parenting and birth work ✨
- lack of clarity where we’re going: do we need accreditation or we don’t?✨
- lack of motivation to work on a program that or can’t seem gain a momentum with the audience I’ve been intending to build ODM for (daycares, nannies, Au Pairs)
BUT…
This absolutely doesn’t mean that I stopped believing in its vision and mission altogether… or that I’ve given up…
Quite the opposite: after a very active output: training 15 daycare teachers and administrators, after casting the vision among Montessorians and recording a ton of podcast episodes for the last two years, I’ve decided to take a pause.
I’ve intentionally retrieved into reflection and integration of what I’ve learned through these massive experiences 🎉
To strategize and re-think the direction of ODM in 2026 🙏
And even start my own Montessori certification journey with training programs in Boston and Houston ♥️
Everything is learning.
Everything is to the benefit those who one day will be ready to step into the wonderful world of embodying Montessori ✨✨✨✨
Because ultimately this work is for young children and their families have access to the best, most intuitive and scientifically informed education 🙏

First 1,000 Days through Montessori Lens ✨
My brand new seminar will be presented in Almaty, Kazakhstan in a week! April 23 at .montessori
I was writing out my first draft this morning here in Singapore. Hard to fit everything in, and I’ll start cleaning it tomorrow, to pick out the most juicy parts to share with you, to inspire you 🤩
More to come! But I look forward to seeing you there! 🫶🏼
Tough decision was made. I am taking a pause. MACTE accreditation is not the direction Open Door Montessori is headed right now ✨
I plan to return to it when the time and starts align.. in the meantime, I am focusing on the Montessori Family Pod and First Thousand Days through Montessori lens 🎉🎉🎉
Reflections I am becoming aware of while sipping smoothies in Bali… ✨
Slowness here, in the middle of the crazy movement all around is something that I need to be able to focus: white noise of mopeds and humming cars somehow calms me down, while aromas from the burning offerings brings peace 🙏
Updates about Montessori evolution in my life lately ✍️
Knowing and understanding child development while raising four children saved me so much grief ♥️
When my older two became elementary age, they’ve started arguing and fighting like never before. I didn’t recognize them at all: joyful and kind to each other singling became the worst enemies 😩
As their mom, I didn’t want them to fight because they are family. And more than that, it was just plain annoying to listen them bicker ALL. DAY. LONG!
After all, I was a Montessori Mama, I knew all the stuff and most importantly, I did it 👊
What was wrong, then?
Everything became clear where I had hear to heart with my friend who is a Montessori elementary teacher and a homeschooling mom like me.
She explained the developmental differences I was jot aware of and was missing in my understanding. This put everything into perspective and gave me more peace.
And I returned to my mantra: less stress and more joy…
Until now… when my twins became elementary age.. 😳
