I'm still a fine hair, low density lady as well. And so to break up my cast, I like to very vigorously massage at my roots. To release my product cast up there. Then I like to do a stretch and pull with mine to release the cast. And then it allows my curls to bloom and open up more.

When I'm cutting fine low density hair, we do want to have a balance of layers. We cannot over-layer this hair as we are already feeling super fine. Um, and if we overlay it, we can make it look finer and finer, but we need to be mindful and keep any of the wispiest, finest ends off of the hair. So these are little things that need to be cleaned and addressed regularly so that we aren't accentuating the finer parts of the strands.
