It’s about that time to start whipping up this Colorado summer bucket list in our house.

Some of our heavy hitter favorites from last year were trying to make it to our pool 40 or more times from Memorial Day to Labor Day, spending one dinner a week picnic themed and eaten on grass, hitting as many hot spring pools as possible, and splurging on Whole Foods sushi after a full morning at the pool.

For our 2026 lineup, so far we are very excited to take my boy on his first camping trip, hit a few concerts that we have had our eyes on, and I am whipping up an ice cream shop and park checklist that I hope to fully complete 🔥

What are some of your favorite ways to celebrate summer in our beautiful state?

Ever get “appointment fatigue”?

You know the dreaded opening up your planner, anticipating a free morning, and instead, reading that you have your annual, a grocery pick up at 11, and swinging by to grab a gift for so-and-so!

One of the things that I have taken note of working with my clientele is that women are busy. They are climbing the ladder in their career, taking note of their fruit, vegetable and protein intake, maintaining relationships in a friend group that is as vibrant and colorful as a spring garden, and about 1 million other things in between. I’ve designed my updated service menu with those women in mind.

My hope is that instead of looking at THIS appointment on your calendar and feeling slight dread at one more thing, demanding your time and attention, it is something that you look at and breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that you will have some time to fill your cup, enhance your look, and prepare yourself to step into the million roles that define your beautiful life.

I have spent the first chunk of 2026 laser focused. Hood up on my business, head down, and asking honestly what is going beautifully, and what needs some work.

My heart feels so happy coming into some of the fruit of that work – in the next stretch, you will see a fully refreshed salon branding and imagery overhaul (which includes our two brand new team members as of this year)!

You’ll also (hopefully drool over) an elevated service menu that launches TODAY (to include two new service offerings/packages that I think you are going to lose your mind over)!

And, if you’re already one of my cherished loyal clientele, you will reap the benefits of my own hyper focus on organization and appointment mapping!

Heading into 2026, my goal was similar to most intentions I set for a new year: bring my best, treat my clientele like royalty, and operate the most empowering and dignifying beauty workspace in Colorado Springs.

Cracking into June, I think we’re off to a pretty damn great start.

I’m settling back in after an incredibly inspiring education event in San Antonio.

Hard to believe that rolling into this summer, I’m shaking off the dust and wrapping up year NINE of salon ownership, year 16 of being a stylist.

It’s always felt important to me to invest in continued education- but as the world has drastically shifted in the last 5-6 years, these moments have protected and empowered the pulse of my business. This week we dove deep into trends in the economy, marketing strategies, financial management, salon leadership, AI impact on the work force, and CPA advice.

My brain is full, my heart is full, and I’m eager to watch the next year unfold with my newfound knowledge in my back pocket.

Welcoming Ezra has changed everything.

Raising him has recalibrated every single priority that I have. Celebrating him is the greatest joy of my life. Being called mama by his tiny voice is the best sound I’ve ever heard.
