Change happens at the darnest times!
Not always when you are ready but always when it’s supposed to.
I can resist change for a bit of time but that just leads to difficult and stagnant force which limits capacity for being in the present moment.

Every time I resist change I make my life more complicated and less in flow with the universe

When the pain gets great enough is often when real flux happens,
This time I can take the right risks when I need to before the pain even happens!
What a blessing it is to have learned how tools to navigate this life this time around!
Cheers to moving up with a handicap accessible studio which is actually climate controlled in the whole building !!☺️

Self care looks different each day.
Sometimes it’s being surrounded by community, sometimes it’s taking space to reconnect with your inner space.
Sometimes it’s loud, sometimes quiet

If you didn’t know, I’ve been obsessed with tomatoes since I was a kid so when I found this farm stand with heirloom tomatoes like the ones we used to grow on the farm my inner child lost it and went ape s**t.

Sometimes self care is nourishing your stomach with foods that give you energy, foods that make your brain light up.
That doesn’t have to be tomatoes for you😂

A snickerbar is self care if it feeds your soul.

The Balance is always shifting and continuing to find new ways of doing and living just by being and observing.

This is a no brute force practice.
We do deep tissue, we do trigger point release, but first and foremost we list to how the client is when they first come in.
We slowly move through layers to get to hidden tissue that was trying to not be obvious.
This is why I don’t advertise as a deep tissue therapist because many people read that and want to be stabbed with my elbow with 50lbs of pressure.

The reality is often if people think the only way to get your body to respond is by force, and then only seek that out, in those cases I’m not the massage therapist for you.

If you can’t feel anything unless it’s 50lbs on your arm there are other parts of you to be tended to.
Often due to trauma or muscles being overloaded from having pain and people ignoring it.
When we ignore something in our body and then it ‘goes away’ ina day or three, that’s not addressing anything.
It’s simply your nerve signals understanding they aren’t going to be paid attention to so they give up sending the pain signal.
Overtime that build up literally means your nerves are not going to immediately respond to a variety of pressures because you’ve been telling your body to shut itself off from those nerve signals.

I can go on a whole tangent but I’ll save that for another day.

The point is we address the entire system. Whether we are talking about what’s going on in the session or the client is simply feeling the presence of their body recalibrating and communicating with itself, the work is always doing what needs to be done.

Yes we do deep therapeutic work. But only when your body allows us to and only if it says that’s what it needs.

We can make monumental change by holding points and just allowing the body and mind to feel safe to relax into the work, then we keep moving through layers, bit by bit.

If you are ready to step into a new place please reach out, I’d love to help☮️🕊️

Doing some focus work on a good friends’ carpal tunnel syndrome that’s been through surgery. The approach is slow, patient, and requires some checking in when working with scar tissue/restricted fascia(connective tissue).
Nerve impingement can be complex if there are multiple point in the body where restriction may be, the median nerve innervates from the cervical spine through shoulder girdle, elbow, then wrist; detailed video for the visual learners:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSls4MWv3MQ

Traditional Carpal tunnel is due to a compressed median nerve. Those reasons could be structural(skeletal), muscular, and a mix of emotional or repetitive or acute use.
The ulnar nerve and radial also innervate by the wrist so a complex case may have overlapping compressed nerves.
There’s also other syndrome commonly mistaken for carpal tunnel which can bring even more confusion for people when seeking help.
I’m not a Dr so I can’t diagnose, but I can suggest and give my best assessment with the assessment tools and palpating that I’ve been practicing for 8 years.
Each case is a new project to help get shown where sensations or lack of function may lay.

The beautiful part of fascia work is that is requires slowness and listening to the tissue to move when it’s ready.
This work is only for those who feel ready.
Ready to step into stillness.
Into change,
Into a new way,
Into finding the reason they want to keep trying

If you have any questions about this work please reach out.

When days are full body’s and minds get tired and there are so so so many rich ways to care for ourselves.
Movement is just one of them and it’s integral to mine.
Getting in touch with what’s alive in my body gives me the know knowledge of what nexts steps are, or need for no action at all.

When I go into sessions I don’t exist, when I’m in that deep state of flow I’m just there helping show what’s alive in someone else’s body.
It’s a beautiful and cool experience but it also means I need to care for myself extra hard on longer days. Maybe even take a day or two off after to refill my own cup.

My priority has to be fill my own cup otherwise I cannot serve.
Some days I get that balanced out, other days I thrive on the thrill of seeing how much more I can help.
But I always know I have to come back to myself at the end of the day and remember what I’m here to do.
To follow the path, find balance where I can, and enjoy the fu***ng ride that is life.

I met so many amazing people yesterday at the Hocking Hills Alien Festival!
Thank you Full Moon & The Crow for gathering such a great event!
So so many fantastic human and non human 😉exchanges.
I’m so lucky and greatful to have a place called home in my own body and find other people who’s spirits light mine up.

There’s so much more to this experience than the eye can see and I get to experience that beauty everyday.

It becomes a beautiful exchange of understanding without explaining and seeing without being shown.

I never chose the path and boy am I glad I’m not the one that creates it.
It’s become so much bigger than me.
That’s why I choose to keep following the unmarked path.

The joys are so much greater and bigger than if I force my hand.
Let things be and they will fall into place.

The work I do gets to be its own living being.
The experience of just existing and allowing creative expression with unattached love has been an insane journey and will continue to be one.

I guess I should mention I’m doing more businesses like things here in the next month and getting help with digital things that I don’t have the patience for is one of the things that may be going through to another phase!

I’ve been suggested to write a blog, but we’ll see when that happens since it always takes me a bit to actually take a suggestion to heart.
But there’s some top secret super exciting news to be announced once it’s time and I’m so so ready for this change!
It’s been in the back of my mind for a while and I’ve just been waiting patiently till the time was right ☺️

Always continuing to keep on trucking on!!! Things, people, and experiences get put in my place to be made aware of the blockages within that come from self. Self limiting thought don’t have to control the reality that comes. I’m reminding my self of that today.

Today I get to practice presence in a more business/markety way that forces me to be more extroverted in a public setting with all the humanness going on.

It’s not my favorite activity as a business owner.

My favorite part of being a business owner is getting to work with clients who align with what I do, understand it or get curious about it, engage with their healing actively, and be exactly whatever human they are.

I’m here for the change of self and others.
I do this work to get fully present in the process of offering space to just fu***ng be.

I do this work because it’s a duty to service that drives me.

I had a conversation with a friend a while back talking about the relevance of a situation carrying two realities at once. The reality of having the honor/duty to be of service.
It’s both a requirement in my life due to finding a passion that means I become a place of support for those I work with, and it’s a fu***ng joyful honor that brings the best feeling.
It’s a feeling I don’t know how to put words to. It’s accomplishment, but it’s not of anything. It’s a feeling of satisfaction when the body responds well to a technique or when we feel significant differences due to allowing the space for them. It’s excitement when a new project comes. It’s relief when we have understanding. It’s elated when I see some of my longest term clients book a session.

It’s bliss to be in the process of discovery on a regular basis.
Bliss that isn’t definable with one situation.
It’s got undercurrent of every emotion.
It’s Bliss if only Adequacy is attained.
It’s Bliss of knowing I don’t know everything.
It’s Bliss seeing the world differently.

If you are still curious about my work and want to talk with me about it before you schedule a full session please feel free to come by!

I’ve been so busy in the process of building this and connecting with people to help navigate all the new growth that taking time for stillness hasn’t been a priority.
So what happened, I got sick. For multiple days!
It really is so true that is you don’t give yourself a break your body will force yourself to do so.
As much as I tell clients to take space and time to let the work settle in, I need to tell myself that 10 fold.
Sometimes a relief to get the reminder from the universe and from my body.
So onward goes the battle of everlasting struggle of finding balance in all areas in life in new and old ways.
Today I was able to get back to slowness and take a full hour to set up my space for a client coming in for a two hour session.
Making it feel like the second home it is for me. Tuning into what I need to do, reorganize, recoup, recharge, reset, reconstitute the reputable energy reinvigorated via resourceful rest.
A really truly robust practice of reordering my internal rotation.
Remembering to round out the day with reverence for my ever changing truth.
Remembering to recharge.
Remembering to reorient myself to my whole state of knowing and being in the present.

If you want to look at some of the brief details about the bodywork I offer please check out my booking system!
Obviously words can only do so much so I really encourage anyone who’s curious to book an introductory phone to see if the bodywork I do and the energy I bring aligns with your needs and goals.

My work is not for everyone, I can’t stress this enough. It’s deeply tuned in work that requires a certain level of awareness of yourself to be able to accept this work.
I can’t give you the power to believe your body holds the answers, but I can help you understand whatever it is you need to understand to function in your life how you wish to, simply with helping you in the present.

I like to say that I simply follow the lines in the body that I FEEL AND SEE.
Those layers starts at the cellular level, those layers sometimes take a few sessions to show themselves.

Anything I do, is simply a creative exploration of the process of movement. Nothing promised more than I will listen to the subtleties of your body and do my best to work with the flow that I feel.

It sounds crazy when I say some of the things I do, since it’s pretty nuanced and sometimes is hard for non boy workers to understand.
Your skin talks to me when we work, so does your fluid and your muscles and your nervous system. It’s all in the listening to those layers that I’m able to work the way I do.

Some have compared the work I do to Rolfing, Polarity Therapy, Lomi-Lomi and so on. When people haven’t experienced something before they often try to find words of similar experiences to try to explain what it is that I do.
One day I’ll have a word for what it is I do, but for now the best I have to give is it’s just Massage Therapy or Bodywork .

This work is crazy how it just keeps gifting itself to me as a passion and career.
Endlessly looking forward to what change comes next!!
