Thursday MOTD πŸ’—βœ¨

I was short on time this morning, so I reached for a color story that never lets me down: the Morphe 2 From Hawaii With Love Palette.
Soft pinks, mauves, and rosy neutrals are always a favorite of mine. They're easy to wear, easy to blend, and they make my blue eyes pop every single time.

Sometimes you don't need a complicated look. Sometimes you just need shades that you can rely on.

πŸ§ͺ✨ Franken Makeup Lab: OPEN ✨πŸ§ͺ

I had a few cream products hanging around that weren't getting enough love, so instead of decluttering them, I decided to play makeup scientist.

🀎 Golden Redemption Started as an Elf Putty Bronzer in Golden Daze that was too warm and too dark for me. I melted in the remains of a Sephora Contour Stick and part of my Elf Soft Glam Bronzer in Fair. The result? A beautiful neutral bronzer that is actually flattering on my skin tone.

🌸 Petal Fusion Created from the remnants of three Wet N Wild MegaGlo Blush Sticks: Floral Majesty, Peach Bums, and Dusty Pink. Individually they weren't getting much use, but together they created the prettiest rose shade.

I love project panning because sometimes the answer isn't buying something newβ€”it's getting creative with what you already own.

Have you ever Franken-ed a makeup product? If so, what did you create?

Wednesday MOTD β˜€οΈπŸ€Ž

Today I reached for the Natasha Denona Bronze Palette. If you've been around for a while, you know that warm bronzy shades are always going to have my heart. They're easy, flattering, and somehow always make me feel put together, even on a casual day.

This morning was spent playing mad scientist and frankening some products. πŸ§ͺπŸ˜‚ I don't know if I should be left unsupervised with empty containers, a mug warmer, and a spatula, but here we are. My experiments were a success, I think.

The rest of the day is pretty low-key. Anthony is currently chained to his desk, being a responsible adult, but once he escapes we're planning a late lunch/early dinner together. Those simple middle-of-the-week dates are some of my favorites.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday! ❀️

Tuesday MOTD 🀎✨

Today I reached for the Lunar Beauty Advent Palette that is in my 50 Shades of Blue Project for No Pan Left Behind. I'm down to just a couple of shades left to use, so this palette will be completed very soon!

This was a quick makeup session because I was on granddaughter duty today. Apparently we've entered a new stage of development: she can remove lids. 😳

RIP to my Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick.

There is now lipstick where lipstick should never be, and I have some stain fighting in my immediate future. If anyone has a foolproof method for getting lipstick out of clothing, I'm taking recommendations. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Tonight Anthony and I are heading out for hibachi and then making a grocery run. Ground beef for $4.99/lb? You know I'm stocking up. πŸ’°πŸ₯©

Not the most exciting Tuesday, but honestly, these are my favorite kinds of days.

I've heard neutral palettes called boring more times than I can count... but I have to disagree. 🀎

To me, neutral palettes aren't boringβ€”they're classic.

They're the palettes I reach for when I want to feel put together.
The palettes that work for everyday life, date nights, family gatherings, errands, work, and everything in between. They're reliable, versatile, and they never seem to go out of style.

In today's video, I'm sharing 20 of my favorite neutral palettes from my collection. No ranking, no decluttering, no dramaβ€”just palettes that I genuinely enjoy using. I even sorted them into warm neutrals, cool neutrals, and those true neutrals that sit right in the middle. Follow the link in my bio!

Now I want to know...

🀎 Are neutral palettes boring or classic?🀎 Team Warm, Team Cool, or Team True Neutral?🀎 What's your favorite neutral palette?

πŸ’š Sunday MOTD πŸ’š

Today's look was inspired by Kay (Kay Lynn ).

Last week she posted the most beautiful teal and pink eye look and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. If you've been here for any length of time, you know that teal isn't a shade I reach for very often. Which is exactly why I needed to.

I've been trying to get more use out of my Rick and Morty palette because it's in my Deck Of Panning project for NPLB, and this felt like the perfect opportunity to pull out some of those neglected teal shades and play.

My look isn't identical to Kay's, but it definitely captures the same vibe that inspired meβ€”soft shimmer, smoky teal depth, and a little bit of magic.

Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone else's creativity to make you look at your own collection differently.

Thank you for the inspiration, Kay. πŸ’™πŸ’š

✨ Saturday MOTD ✨

A full beat for a Sam's Club run and lunch with my favorite human, Anthony. ❀️

I've been slacking a little on my Eyeshadow Roulette shades, so today's look was built around a few of those project pan products.

Today's stars: 🀎 Devinah Pandora (probably my favorite matte from Devinah) 🀎 Sydney Grace Dream Big 🀎 Sydney Grace Relax

I paired them with the Morphe 2 From Hawaii With Love palette and ended up with a soft, sparkly, cool-toned look that feels very much in my comfort zone.

Sometimes I want bright colors and multichromes. Sometimes I want all the drama.

And sometimes I just want a pretty, easy-to-wear look while I wander the aisles of Sam's Club and debate whether I really need the giant-sized package of whatever caught my attention. πŸ˜‚

Project pan progress and a lunch date? Sounds like a pretty good Saturday to me.

🌈 Friday MOTD 🌈

Today's look is part of a collab with Ash, Leanna, and Erica, and our theme was Rainbow Makeup.

Now, if you've been here for any length of time, you know I usually live in the land of mauves, taupes, and neutrals. πŸ˜‚ But every now and then it's fun to pull out the colorful palettes and play.

For this look, Glamlite Rick and Morty palette along with Glamlite Ice Cream Dream to create a rainbow-inspired look with yellow, green, blue, and purple tones.

But the real star of the show is the shimmer on the lid: Devinah Palaemon. βœ¨πŸ’šπŸ’œ It shifts beautifully over the greens and blues and adds that magical sparkle that makes me want to stare at my eyelids all day.

I think that's one of the things I love most about makeup. Some days it's soft and neutral. Some days it's bronzy and glowy. And some days you just want to look like a tropical bird and see what happens. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸŒˆ

Did I step outside my comfort zone? Absolutely.

Am I mad about it? Not even a little.

Palette surgery! βœ‚οΈπŸŽ¨

Back in February, I depotted all of the shades from my remaining ColourPop quads and created a custom palette.

Today, Kay inspired me to take it one step further and depot my mini Viseart palettes too.

My brain would really prefer if every pan was exactly the same size. πŸ˜‚ But once I stopped focusing on that, I realized the color story makes so much more sense this way.

Is it perfectly symmetrical? No. Is it practical? Absolutely. Will I use it more now? 100%.
Sometimes the best palette is the one you build yourself.

Thank you, Kay, for the inspiration! πŸ’•

Tuesday MOTD β˜”

Anthony and I are heading out for lunch today, and I need to make a stop at Ulta to return the Maybelline Lifter Plump & Glow Foundation... for the second time. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Apparently "cool" means peach now? Because both shades I tried pulled so warm and peachy on me. And can we all agree that peach is not a cool tone? πŸ˜‚

For today's eyes, I pulled out the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. Somewhere along the way I realized that it's basically a warmer, smaller cousin to my beloved Stone Cold Fox palette. Similar vibe, similar color story, and apparently I have a type.

That said... I still prefer Stone Cold Fox. πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

It's gloomy, rainy, and dreary outside today, so these moody rosy tones felt absolutely perfect. Sometimes the weather picks the makeup.

What's your favorite rainy day makeup look?
