Curly or straight, thick or thin, sophisticated up-dos and tight fades, razor cuts and fashion colors and pixies and highlights—swoon! But even after a decade behind the chair, it was the teen years I spent learning how to wrestle my own stubborn locks into submission from which I earned a deep appreciation for the difference between hair that looks great when you leave the salon and hair that also works, day after day. In keeping with this philosophy, each of my clients receives an attentive consultation before every service, during which we can both get totally excited about ideas that will be not just fashionable but functional, and tailored not only to taste but also routine. Before leaving the salon, clients are also educated on the tools and techniques that will keep their hair looking fabulous until their next appointment. All of this happens in the cozy ambiance of Hive, my own personal salon dream world, where the shelves are stocked with hair products that are organic, sustainable, and extremely awesome.
